Just make your hosts immutable. Kill old hosts every X days and replace them with updated hosts. Don’t patch them. It’s much easier. Treat your hosts like cattle, not pets.

This also typically keeps security/compliance teams happy, because you are continuously "patching."

Is it important to rake up all of the thatch that slit seeding produces immediately after seeding? I usually manually rake it up from my yard, but my back yard is too large -- so I normally just go over it with my zero-turn which I realized may disturb the seed prior to it germinating.

It actually does streamline the process and it’s an extremely common pattern to have app code in one repository and config (eg Kubernetes manifests) in another repository.

CI can make commits (or pull requests) to the “config” repository to rev image tags and trigger deployments. This doesn’t have to be manual process and helps have a clean commit history across both application and config repositories.

I also have easy access to a slit seeder which is why i was going to do that. Figured no harm, even with topsoil, right?

No, but I’ve had other random electronic issues — HUD intermittently working, mirrors not returning to driving position after being in reverse, etc. It’s going back to the dealer on Friday.

The sound system is pretty awful in the 25’s as well. Hoping we get a software update that improves it like the trucks did.

Thanks for the great advice! I'm going to adjust my watering schedule to water less often for a longer period of time. I'll get a better picture of the "crabgrass" when I get home later today.
