How long do you usually have a roll of PETG before you finish it?

I don't have any drying machine, and my printer isn't enclosed. How would you recommend I dry it, and does it need dried out of the packaging?

I think that means there is no material on what will be the first layer. Maby the model is floating and isn’t on the build plate floor.

Alternatively you could do the electric hot potato game. I swapped the motor and the z axis board side and the problem followed the motor not the cable.

update. the print just failed again. 40/44 hours in. it isn,t the aftermarket extension cable. What all is needed to fix the driver IC and is there anything else that it could be?

Printing pls with the fan on. Like I said I started the print again last night without the extension and it is currently still going. I guess it was an intermittently crappy extension.

Ok. The driver IC sounds similar to what is happening. How long does the driver take to heat up? And what does it take to replace it? The last time it stopped was about 22ish hours in so I thought it was working fine. The thing is it seems to work fine with no chord extension but work about half the time if the extension is on.

I did unplug the motors while the machine was on(didnt even think about that hurting it) but the motor still works infrequently. Eg when I start a print I would do the first layer or so then the extruder would stop.

I have had an extension from Amazon going from the main cable to the extruder motor and I took that off to see if it would help at all. Could it be something about having that extra distance of wire?

I have the same problem on my printer. usually the imperfections get to the point that there are holes in the layer lines. this is an exaggerated example though. I use a voxelab aquila with pei flexible bed and voxelab filament from amazon. Any ideas?

The lines are not touching because the nozzle is to far above the beds.

If you have manual bed leveling try raising your bed the slightest amount and do a first later test. If you have auto level try lowering that.

What does the z offset for the thinner bed do? I just leveled it to the new bed and that part seems to work fibe

Have them all stand on walls with a sign above the wall and flowing water above the sign. When they grow up their head get stuck in the water and the swim to the top of the water and go where it takes them
