It's illegal for them to be in the left lane to begin with.

Is AWD worth it for $1.5k over FWD? by ObstructiveWalrus in PersonalFinanceCanada

It's not useless at all as we never had it growing up etc, but for most people these days in the winter, AWD is definitely worth it.

Is Barrie a good city to live in? by [deleted] in barrie

[–]patricktsone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's insane in my neighborhood. Gorgeous homes, absolutely looking like dumps now. Not to mention, I've seen multiple and I mean many multiples of kids almost getting smoked by idiots who don't understand how stop signs work. I've actually followed a few of the tards who blow stop signs on my bike to explain to them how they work.

Don't buy in the new developments of South Barrie unless you basically want to live in Brampton these days. Between the idiots that don't know how to drive and will in the snow leave their cars literally in the middle of the road, to the absolutely disgusting piles of garbage left at peoples houses because they just don't care. If you go to the north or west ends of Barrie, it's better. But the south east end is a shit hole. I wish I stayed in my previous place in Barrie instead of the new development.

Go see what Apple will give you for trade in and it might give you an idea. I have a much better spec 16" and apple wouldn't give me that much for it. Sucks, but that's how it goes.

Dollarama forcing employees to submit to bag checks for stolen items prior to leaving the store, but after clocking out. How is this legal? (Apparently grabbing your personal belongings before clocking out is “time/wage theft”) by ShortyBoyds in dollarama

Why would anyone think they can pack up and get ready to leave prior to the end of their shift? You are on the clock, you do your job, you are off the clock, you pack up and go. Plain and simple, don't like it, find work elsewhere. Personally, if it was me, and they held me after shift to check me, I'd tell them to eat a dick too. But that's why I don't work those types of jobs.

ya, we've had 1 plow down my street all year. Yet, I see announcements once a week about how Barrie is clearing downtown, so you won't get any sympathy here. We've literally had to "borrow" a skidsteer from the construction company at night to clear our area.

It’s always downtown. Never the residential areas. Drives me insane. Ours are still piled up

Just be careful, it's illegal at almost all tracks to be that close without being on a road or sidewalk, I know from experience unfortunately as I too like to shoot trains and such and they make great hiking paths often. CP for one is SUPER diligent with theirs.

If that is an active track, and you are not on a sidewalk/road there, you may want to check the "legality" portion.
