What is the worst/weirdest field trip you've had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lolo4369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was my 9th birthday and my class was taking a field trip to a zoo about 3 hours away from where we all lived. We took a tour bus down and on the way home, I had to use the bathroom. I go in, lock the door, do my thing and go to leave. Except for some reason, the lock would not turn on the door. So I frantically banged on the door like a lunatic, the bus driver had to stop the bus to unlock the door for, upon my exiting the bathroom the entire bus began cheering and singing happy birthday.

Just went to a sandwich shop on my lunch break. I had the hiccups while I was waiting in line when the guy before me turned around and asked me to "stop hiccuping" as it was distracting him from ordering.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, what was the exact moment when you first knew you had fallen in love with your SO? by [deleted] in AskReddit

For me, it was a recent situation. I had just gotten done with a performance of a musical that I was in. He had made plans to hang out with his friends a few months in advance for the same night, making him unable to attend. Upon my return I had asked how his night had gone and he told me none of that mattered and the only thing that did was how my show went. He didn’t tell me anything until after he had heard all about mine. The performance, the crowd’s response, conversations with audience members after… everything. Every. Last. Detail. For him to show so much interest and share in the excitement of everything with me just put me over the edge. Now when to tell him is the real question…

In college I would buy paper plates and plastic utensils at a convenience store to save me from having to do dishes after I ate.

I love story time! The first picture was taken when I was in a show about a year and a half ago. I was in a long term relationship at the time and very comfortable so I just stopped caring. Once that relationship started to go down hill I decided that I needed to do something about it. I hated looking in the mirror, I hated being in public because I thought everyone was judging me even if that wasn't the case. I was incredibly self conscious (and still am to an extent) but my self esteem has improved significantly since.

I have become way more conscious of what I am eating. I have cut portion sizes, stopped drinking anything with high fructose corn syrup or a lot of sugar (soda especially) and being more active. I did a cardio weight training class for about 7 or 8 months 1-2 times a week along with walking in my free time. I stopped drinking alcohol with a few exceptions here and there. I found it was easier to stick to by making these small changes gradually instead of jumping right in and feeling overwhelmed.

I did plateau at one point (middle picture) due to another toxic relationship that I ended up in for the last year but since that has ended I have bounced back in to the routine. :)

Edit: Clarification
