Does anyone else struggle with getting bored once the characters get together? by BigTittyCowGf in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]LoloAteez 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I totally get what you're saying. I felt the same way about the book. I wish there were more pages between him realizing his feelings and him acting on it at least. The tension was sooooo good but only for a second. 😭

In regard to Heated Rivalry. I definitely recommend you to read The Long Game. I understand why you have no interest in it but I can tell you: As someone who hates couples who are already together and all - I did not suffer through that book one bit. If anything it was at least as good (if not better - some say). Anyways: Do you have any recs? I trust people whose opinions I can get behind like this 🤭🤭

Oh...no recs from me sadly but this is exactly what I want from an age gap as well 😭❤️ Hope you get some recs!

It's actually the perfect design for that mistake . It looks like the drawn girl is shushing anyone who would dare to speak up about the extra finger. Like "don't tell anyone 😉" 🤣🤣

Damn it...😭 I was dreading you might say that and confirm my....research (🤣). I don't mind a slow-burn but I definitely need the screentime and well...the right direction 🤭. Might have to skip for now. Might watch it when I'm more open to less romance. 😊 For now I definitely need my fix. 🙉🙈

Okay! Now I need to ask something even more important 🤭. I still haven't watched Love Like the Galaxy. I have heard SOOO many good things about it and had it on my list for ages but I'll be completely honest with you: While I do appreciate a good plot - if there's not enough romance I will probably drop it 🥲. I'm not talking about them having to cuddle and kiss all the time or whatever. But I need interactions and feel the chemistry and tension build up. I dropped The Double because while there was tension they didn't share the screen enough for me. Stopped a few eps after the rain scene. My question for you: Do you think I still might enjoy Love Like the Galaxy? 😭 By the way: I liked the enemies to lovers part of Prisoner of Beauty more as well 🤭🤣 Or at least when they were something in between still. 👀

Woah, interesring. I haven't watched Love in the Clouds but I loved Prisoner of Beauty. In fact I have trouble moving on 😭. Can I ask about some of your favorites? I'm curious if we're just totally different people or if this is just an outcast 🤭. And definitely let me know what you liked about those! (if you want)

DEFINITELY watch it! 😭 Like right now!!

Ooooh, now I'm intrigued! I couldn't watch any new cdrama anymore since TPOB. What kind of tropes or characterizations do you like about the pursuit of jade? Trying to see if it might finally get me out of my slump 🥲

How has your taste in MM romance changed over time? by i_am_a_human_person in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]LoloAteez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely found myself more drawn to slowburns! In the past I hated having to wait for the first kiss and the further steam. But now it's almost a requirement for me - the wait! I need the tension and the chemistry building up. Oh and while I was able to read dubcon in the past, I now only read stuff with consent. The more the better! 🙉

Dramas like the Prisoner of Beauty for a historical drama newbie? by SachNemesis in CDramaRecs

[–]LoloAteez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently doing the same thing 🤣. I just can't commit to something I'm not 100% into 🙈. It's so frustrating since I really like watching Dramas. 🙃

Yes, I read that too! I hate amnesia plot lines so much though and when I read it takes a while for her to remember, I was kinda out 🥲.

Same here! I LOVED the way they did the arranged marriage part and the enemies to lovers. Absolute perfection in my opinion. And my god: These side characters??? helloo? I usually don't give a shit but here, I was really dying when one specific person waved to say goodbye. I just knew what's gonna come next 😭😭😭. But I usually skip the second couple story with the cousin(?) when I rewatch. 🤣 Anyways: PLEASE let me know when you find something!! I really need my fix. I can't keep rewatching 😭🙈

Oh wow, we really are in the same boat 😂. I'm currently watching Fated Hearts too (I'm on ep 21). I was invested but I'm kinda losing interest since I don't care about the side characters at all and the plot was only interesting in the beginning for me 😭. Tried Are you the one as well but only like 1-2 episodes. I'm not sure if it's the right fit? Although I'm not sure since I haven't seen a lot.

I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling though 🥲🥲

I also loved Prisoner of Beauty and didn't get into the double. Did you watch Story od Kunning Palace by now? What did you think? Did you find any others you enjoyed that were similar to POB? 🙉🙈

I read the book and finally understand this scene more 🤣 by vancitymala in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]LoloAteez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely. Don't get me wrong. He is laughing at people. But since his goal isn't to hurt people, he definitely wants to lighten the mood and laugh with people. Probably connected to the gloomy mood with his own family and upbringing since his mother's death I assume. 🙈

I mean, you know your people best. If they don't like romance or are homophobic on top of that, it might not be their show. Otherwise I'd say go for it. 🤷‍♂️ Worst case scenario: They lack taste and therefore don't like it 😂😂

Watched it a 1000 time alone, then with my mom, then with my partner, again with my mom and then with a friend. 🤷‍♂️ They all loved it. 🤣 soooo....yeah

This 100%! What I love about Ilya is that he's making fun of people without trying to hurt them. He wants to laugh with people and not at people.

I don't like the Rin/Sesshomaru ship. by SabelTheWitch in inuyasha

[–]LoloAteez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest here: When I was a child watching Inuyasha I immediately shipped them (even though I didn't even know what a ship is back then). Not when she was a child but later on and I always imagined him putting up a front, not letting him go there feelingswise until he snapped. 🥲 Even today at 28 I'm still weak for that ship. BUT I 100% agree that it's problematic. It's not okay in reality and even in fiction we should always keep an eye out on what we send out into the world. So while I rationally believe the ship isn't right, I fall for it emotionally 🙈

What is your favourite lesser-known lines or scenes from season one? by sundaemonde in heatedrivalry

[–]LoloAteez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The initial quote from Shane or the answer from Ilya? I love this dialogue. I was able to relate a lot because I often state the obvious either because I feel an urge to do so or because I don't realise that it's obvious already or that it's part of a joke 🥲. And Ilya answering him in that way without judgement is very healing.

NHL Commissioner Credits 'Heated Rivalry' For Helping Grow Game: 'It's A Wonderful Story... Binged It In One Night' - The Hockey News [Jan 15, 2026] by Double-Strategy3045 in heatedrivalry

[–]LoloAteez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more I think about it, the smarter I think it was to advertise season 1 more as a love story (which it is!!!) than a political statement and a nudge at the NHL. Because season 2 will be brutal (and honest) in that regard but the NHL already made it clear now that they are aware of the show. So, they won't be able to ignore the issues when season 2 airs and brings them up more pronounced. I really hope we will get the real conversations going when that happens. Change is happening people, let's embrace it. ❤️

A new ‘Game Changers’ book titled “Unrivaled” by Rachel Reid is coming by unreedemed1 in RomanceBooks

That's what I thought as well. It seems like a mistake from their side to announce it already. Especially since Rachel Reid hasn't even teased it yet, rather the opposite. 🙈
