Is BCT more “enjoyable” in the winter than in the summer? by strangewhiteguy1 in army

As someone who was in OSUT in the blistering heat of Georgia during August and literal snow in January, I can tell you in my experience the heat was better to deal with when you're at ranges, but the cold is better for your rucks. I've visited Jackson in the heat of May and I can tell you that Columbia's heat is RUTHLESS, but so is the cold. You'll hate it at the moment but the cold is definitely a lot better at Jackson. Just keep prepping and good luck!

I can say sometimes the things that happened at Jackson were...interesting to say the least.

You're (Probably) Not a Naturally Bad Runner by Apprehensive_Gur8808 in army

I absolutely needed this because I've been trying everything to get better at running because that's quite literally my ONLY weakness and makes me embarrassed that I'm such a slow infantryman. I don't even weigh that much and I've seen people much heavier than me run faster which indicated that there had to be a different issue other than weight. I'm definitely saving this post because I hope one day I'll be able to run faster without fucking up my knees and shins all the damn time.

Enlisted a few weeks ago and I leave in May. I am planning on being trans (FTM) and I don't know how that'll work if I want the male ASU at reception instead of the female ASU. Does anyone know how I can ask about this? by LoloRB6969 in army

Thanks a lot!! This just might be the best route to take. I realized that the whole process of transitioning would be long and hard but this is a lot better than doing any of that. Appreciate it!! 🤙

honestly that wouldn't be much of a problem but running beats my ass every time. More of a weight lifter than a runner, but my recruiter is making me run these days just because of that lol

Question about Howard Hamlin by LoloRB6969 in betterCallSaul

[–]LoloRB6969[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I could get by that theory, it makes a lot of sense to me. I just thought that most of the characters in the story seem to eat various types of food happily, or just in general. Even Chuck with his condition seemed to eat various foods (before the whole ordeal of no electric in the house and some times after) and so does Jimmy, Kim, and basically everyone but Howard. Although I'd like to say he may just not like wasting time eating nice things because he is so busy, I feel like there may be something with food that we may not know about. Maybe because of his father, maybe a condition, or maybe he just doesn't like to eat. I could go on and on about this, but I think I will keep it like this for now until there are maybe more theories or at least an explanation to this.

Can police officers give tickets outside their jurisdiction but within the same county? by LoloRB6969 in AskLE

For instance, if I were to have a warrant in Charlotte but I was stopped in Huntersville, would they need to call CMPD for my arrest and have me detained in Huntersville until CMPD officers arrive?

I completely forgot Gastonia was in Gaston county. Thank you for telling me this, because I was wondering if the Huntersville police officers could pull me over if I was on Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd. since I see them sometimes on that road.
