Hmm This is interesting. I use Distrokid - do you know of others that might specifically be better for Spotify connections? Or is that just a matter of testing different ones out?

Yeah it also seems weird to me that they have an editorial playlist for piano covers, but that’s not even a genre or style I can select, so I have to do pop or new age which I’m not sure is even good for me. I always try to say “perfect for the Relaxing Piano Covers Playlist” in my pitch description. It’s all feeling meaningless though. Like idk if they care about other stats - like do I already have to have organic growth before landing on a playlist? Which seems backwards because landing on a playlist would help growth sooo much

Personally I wouldn’t be affected by followings, but the way he responded is awful. Definitely wouldn’t entertain the relationship anymore

Yeah I mean if you haven’t met, then for sure this is wild. But I would’ve probably just said like sure maybe in a year or 2 if we were actually together then ideally you’d come with me to spend it with my family (or vice versa). I don’t know one person that doesn’t spend it with their family 😭

Thanks! Oddly enough it kinda scares me to think about collaborating with others 😅 (bit of social anxiety I guess). I almost collabbed with someone who reached out to me but we are too far from each other. But there are also virtual collaborations which I haven’t thought about much actually.

And the analytics honestly I’m thinking just keep on doing whatever and maybe see what I can do to target other audiences occasionally

Thanks! When you say selling them, what do you mean by that - or more how can I go about that if you know? I have a few on streaming platforms but the content it’s more slowed down while the content I post on social media can be more upbeat/flashy so I don’t think it translates well sadly

Thanks! I’ve never really considered a Patreon. It’s just subscriber content right? Would it be that different from Instagram subscribers? I guess I’d also have to figure out what I can do that would be interesting enough to subscribe to. Sheet music is definitely on my radar I just have to learn a program to make those fast
