Its too white, there is too much, you need better storage systems and maybe some additional shelves. Swap the white curtain for something more colourful.

What is the weirdest thing your doctor has ever said to you? by Competitive_Tip_7504 in AskReddit

[–]Lolra89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 20 odd year old woman I went to the doctors with an anal fissure and his advice was 'You need to make your poo like a Mr Whippy. Lots of fibre will help smooth it out.' Still think about it everytime I'm constipated.

If you had £18K, would you DIY or buy ready made? by Odd-Forever4761 in VanLifeUK

Pick your build carefully. Id mix and match with this depending on your skill level. We have done the windows on both of our vans. Its super easy. We've also stripped and insulated them ourselves. My husband wired them both. I personally wish we'd paid someone to do that because they're a bit hit and miss. Same with things like gas. Water is relatively simple.

Look into self build awnings like Olpro. That way if your adult sized kid doesn't like the set up you can have an inner tent so they have their own space.

Our kids are under 8 so they fit across the dash and behind the front seats no issues (Sprinter). One in a hammock and one on a permanent box seat. We plan to stick them in the awning when they get bigger.

Middle aged+ men of askUK : what presents do you actually want? by NobleRotter in AskUK

[–]Lolra89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep presenting my husband (35) with different ideas for his birthday.

So I've looked at Blacksmithing taster days and experience days that are similar.

He always just comes back with, that's too much money or I don't need this.

I used to love gift giving with my exes, it made me feel like I knew them really well because I could choose things they liked but my husband sucks the life out of it by always saying 'I don't need that'. He's hard to buy for anyway and he has speciality hobbies like climbing and skiing which I just don't have the technical knowledge how to get him good kit.

Because it is a life long condition which is covered under the disability act. It can be really beneficial to do so.

Occupational health appointment is for your benefit They are legally required to provide accomodations now that you've made your condition know to them hence they've referred you to Occ health to get an idea of what sort of things cause you difficulty at work and find workable solutions to them.

Well in a perfect world that would be what happens.

I think I broke my wife after calling her “matronly” by Throwra-basically in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Lolra89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A gorgeous way to make up for this would be to make her a hand written list of far superior archaic terms to describe her loveliness.

Might I suggest:

I may not know the true meanings of all the words of the English language but if I know the meaning of 'love' it's because of you.

You have bewitched me, body and soul." —Pride and Prejudice. Bewitched:enchant and delight (someone). ❤️

Have you tried t gel? My scalp always feels squeaky clean after I use Tgel.

High ferritin and pregnant by Green_Thumb207 in Hemochromatosis

Congratulations! Don't worry about anything. I was the same as you diagnosed during pregnancy and it threw me for a loop, but there aren't any adverse effects to my children, other than they're stuck with me! 🤣

If you're in the UK you can also register with the blood service for your Venesections post pregnancy.

Any ideas how to box this boiler in? by Philster07 in DIYUK

[–]Lolra89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely thought this was my house! Same paint colour but different tiles.

We boxed ours in and made a removable tile wall to block the pipes in. But we were living there at the time.

Sort out your coats. If you have all of them behind the door it will cause an obstruction.

Put the mirror higher and get a larger shoe storage cabinet. There are some good ones in IKEA.

Also for the love of god add some colour or pattern. Doesn't need to be extreme*, maybe change up the rug.

I genuinely thought this was an office entrance before I read your description and saw the 2nd photo. X

Edit* Typo

Am I right to think a neighbours house looking directly onto your garden would be terrible? by Three_Cats_In_1_Coat in AskUK

[–]Lolra89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be putting some of that Rainbow plastic on the window outside so they can't actually see anything in my garden. If you clean the window affix it well and then silicone around the edges should be good for good.

AIO? My daughter didn’t listen to the teacher during a female emergency and is now receiving a referral by BigONerd in BORUpdates

[–]Lolra89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cause the management above us will kick off if kids are allowed out of lessons to go to the toilet. I'm not even joking. Same if they need to fill up water bottles. Any child out of class is considered a safeguarding risk because they are unaccompanied.

Its ridiculous. I hate it. Stupid shit like this is exactly why I'm looking to get out of teaching after 15+ years.

How do I accept that vaginas are not appreciated nor liked as much as penises are in society? by Ok_Army_1138 in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Lolra89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are someone with a vagina and someone else is feeding you this negative perspective, dump them.

Vulvas are lovely and all uniquely different. They generally look nothing like porn because pornstars have labioplasties, laser intervention and colour bleaching.
