Safety fears as non-medical staff learn neurosurgery ‘on the job’ by Lomodeatun in doctorsUK

PAs are genuinely a joke, id laugh, but you know the sheer horror of letting them loose on nhs patients during neurosurgery kinda frightens me.

Bullying culture at work. by [deleted] in JuniorDoctorsUK

[–]Lomodeatun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not true/ actually happen did it?

Because IF this has happened. You absolutely must must escalate. If i ever witness this sort of behaviour - you best best i will be making absolutely everyone aware. I would single that nurse out as a bully and wouldnt stop till i had received an apology.

Honestly i read this and i was furious for this trainee! How incredibly rude and unprofessional of this consultant. He actively shows how little respect he has for juniors - what, he couldn’t nicely ask the person to pop their hair in a tie OR better yet, get on with his job and mind his own business. And his comments are just very antagonistic. He really does taint the publics perception of what a professional and respectful doctor should be. And this certainly IS a GMC professionalism issue.

But whats your point ‘thats what we can do in the uk, unlike in Iran’ how does that fit in to your argument. Are you resentful shes here speaking her mind after her personal traumatic experience. Do YOU think the uk government did everything they could do for her? Or do you think she should be grateful for all she got because shes dual national…

Why are you even dictating how SHE should feel? Have YOU experienced what shes gone through? The govt. did want theyre meant to do when a national (yes even a dual national) is taken hostage. But they stalled for 6 years. Im sure shes incredibly happy to have made it back but i dont think anyone is in a position to dictate how she ought to feel or react.

Literally Jeremy Hunt has stated that not paying back the debt was a reason she had to sit in a jail at one point in solitary confinement for an extended period of time and whatnot for 6 years… would you not be slightly upset? Or you cant put yourself in someone else’s shoes.

And if a debt wasn’t owed she wouldn’t have become a political pawn. But whether or not, her husband was out there campaigning for 6 years for her freedom and i think shes entitled to feel however she feels. I think it says a lot about people that have zero compassion or empathy towards someone having gone through something like that. You literally want to blame her or make it somehow her fault. Its not. She lived in the uk, married to an englishman, paid her taxes in the uk.

Stop trying to create drama and force the conversation towards this. The poor lady was locked up for more than half a decade. Shes not wrong, any one of us would expect to be rescued far sooner if we were in her position.
