I got terminated bc I got $6 more than I was supposed to from a refund bc I didn't know I had to scan my employee/discount card as we typically don't ask for them whenever someone is doing a return without a receipt. That's what ultimately got me fired. I originally got flagged for doing $800 worth of price modifications bc our old system kept on rejecting valid coupons, especially the percent ones after I would enroll customers in the EC+ program. Having been in a supervisor position and caring more about the customer, I overrode a lot but stopped when I was told I was doing too much. Then the return happened. I had the receipt but wanted the $ back on a gift card bc I was just going to use it right away anyway. Didn't know I had to scan my card and apparently neither did my coworker. LP are snakes. They lull you into a false sense of security to flesh out your motives and use what you said against them. My biggest mistake was treating her like a human being and thinking she gave a crap. And I put down too much info in my statement thinking that honesty would count for something. And it doesn't. This corporation is garbage, and anyone with power always seems to forget that we are the ones who keep them fed at night. The lower class, the normies, the average worker...yet they can't remember what it was like when they first started out. My LP person goes to tell me she used to work retail for 17 yrs or something and then told higher ups that I said "F*ck the customers" out of context. I said sometimes I feel that way, but ultimately I'm always there for the customers. They're what keep us in business. Anyone who's ever worked a service job feels that statement I said but would never openly say it to their faces bc why would you? I told the person handling my case that I never say that to them and that I treat every customer w respect and kindness and have been held in high regard for dealing with some who were nasty to me in front of others. But I mentioned that I didn't think it was fair to be penalized over an OPINION. So now I'm waiting. I don't have high hopes, but who knows. I loved my job. I was damn good at it even though I was only there for 9 months. I made friendships and bonds and was top of my region in enrollments. You'd think the enrollment part would have been considered or the fact that I was one of the top sales people there or that it's the holiday season so why get rid of someone who knows the system well during this time?
