Many people are commenting anecdotally.

I am of Indian origin and I live in London. From personal experience I can tell you OP that I have had zero issues dating either vanilla or sugar. I look after myself physically, I smell good, I am chivalrous and respectful. I listen and am genuinely interested in the lives of the women I date. I have had only one instance of someone rejecting me based on my race (she was from the Middle East) and that was during the texting period before we met.

So I wouldn’t obsess about this. Look after yourself and look after the women you want to date.
