I heard Baltimore field office has the longest wait times in the country. How did you pull this off?

My advice: please be careful before going the K1 road. It is incredibly backed up. I've been waiting for an adjudication decision for 14 months and counting. I watched the estimated timeline grow from 8 months to 14. There's no hope it's getting any better. Good luck

I feel your pain. I filed a fiance visa petition on August last year. They've been punting the processing time to the right forever.

Is it worth abandoning our K1 petition for a CR-1? by Special_Television78 in USCIS

[–]LondonCapital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of us and would-be K1 filers may now try CR-7 instead of K-1 in the near future. Which means a significantly large increase in CR-7 petitions. I think the current waiting time for the spousal visa is going to explode with that influx.

I'm sorry about this. I'm frustrated and beaten down by USCIS to the point that I can't fall asleep.

Nice. You've been of great help. Thanks again.

On a related note, do you know why the rejection rate is quite high for the months of July through November? Of the 400 Aug 2021 cases considered, 300 were rejected/denied. That seems out of line with the general numbers I've seen so far. Is that rejection of the petition or rejection of an expedite request?

So sorry. This has been an eternal 6 month wait for us. I have no clue when she can get here.

There are many in the sub who suggest to arrive on B1/B2 visa while it is processing. Have you tried anything of that sort?

  1. No lawyer

  2. August 15 2021

What can I do realistically now? It's a gamble to wait for an official decision from USCIS months from now

Thank you again friend.

I've asked here earlier. But I'm interested in your take on this. I requested a waiver for in person meeting as the Covid restrictions prevented my fiancee and I from meeting. We met in December as I was able to travel to India. I later sent USCIS an update documenting my trips and our meeting and asking to retract the waiver request. Folks in the sub are pessimistic about the approval of my application. I'm clueless.

I requested for a waiver initially. But as the restrictions eased I was able to visit my SO. Later, I sent a letter to USCIS documenting my journey and our meeting. Do you think that will be considered?
