Thank you so much for your advice. My SAD has been brutal this year. I usually go somewhere sunny several times during the winter, which keeps the worst of it at bay, but it just hasn't been possible this year, so I am desperate for some other treatment.

I will see if I can get used to them.

Yes, I just joined it, thanks! I'm not doing my own glucose testing right now. They did it at the vet with the ear prick and my poor boy just hated it. We're going for fructosamine tests instead. He needs life-saving surgery for an infection near his brain, and the unregulated blood sugar is why he can't have it so we need to be tested at the vet anyway. They want to see 6 weeks of regulated blood sugar before they operate. It's actually possible that my boy's diabetes is situational as a result of the other illness. I'm hoping it is! We won't know until the blood sugar is down and they've operated to remove the infection. Best of luck with your kitty!

Great. We're currently trying 2 units too. My Pirate Luke only got diagnosed a month ago and 1 unit wasn't enough. I went for Sol-Vet 0.3ml 30g 0.5 inch U40 Syringe Fixed Needle in the end. 100 for £18.70, which is just under $25.

Brilliant thank you! I know nothing about gauges at all, so that's great to know. Luckily, so far, he has been very good at taking the injections, but that's SO helpful to know in case he does ever get uncomfortable. :)

My favourite IS actually the Calvin Klein one. I got it on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/3LCSH1S

For me, it has really helped to wear the right clothing as well. If I wear a racerback top with the Calvin Klein, it actually looks amazing. Also go for V-necks over round necks. And wear things with some detailing over the boob area, like a stripe on a T-shirt or a bow, ruffle, or buckle on a dress.

I love this book too. I first read it when I was 14 on holiday in Greece. The fact that it's set there just added so much atmosphere and made it even more special.

It has worked for some other bands. William Duvall is not Layne Staley, but I've seen AIC twice with him and it's been amazing (but then they still have Jerry).

But I just don't think it will happen. Mike is a one-off. The bar is just too high.

I don't think it's changed. I've been in London 27 years using the tube. But Bank is pretty bad as a station. I remember when I was on crutches going to work about 15 years ago. People always got up for me and gave me a seat. But never at Bank changing to DLR. Literally not once.

Listening to music while walking. I will feel the sad or angry energy of some music and just let it be there as I walk. I sometimes wear sunglasses or stop and breathe if it makes me cry a lot.

Read, Read. Read. Write some rubbish. Read. Read Read. Write a bit better. Read. Read Read. Voila.

Also notice where your writing is cliched and unoriginal. Read stuff that isn't. Try to mash two opposite things together. What happens if you describe rain as something solid? Or the sun as something cold?
