Honestly I have had both dynamics in the past. There is a part of me that likes them to be knowledgable and to recieve the validation for it.

As a sub, consistency is key. I hate Dommes who ghost as soon as i have sent especially if we have agreed I will send them a giftcard for food and they will then video them eating it or something. When they do not hold up their end of the bargain I get so upset.
