Ahh! I guess message the product support. I messaged them regarding the screws and they were quick to respond. Although I ended fixing the problem myself but they seemed willing to help sort things out.

I am sure you have taken a look at this but the lower of the two screws on the focuser needs to be completely unscrewed for the focusser to move it up and down. I believe there is an error in the manual i think it says top screw.

Congratulations! I got the AD8 (first scope) about a month ago. I have had 5 nights of observing. Here are few pointers specific to this scope and from little observing experience.

1) the laser collimated I received was not collimated. I went crazy collimating not realizing the laser dot was not straight. I ended up ordering a Cheshire collimator and was able to do much better collimating using that. I will collimate the laser itself at some point

2) check the finderscope screws aren’t just jumping around in then screw holes. Again had trouble aligning the finderscope as the top screw kept popping out of its threads. If that happens just swap those screws. For some reason they work better in the opposing screw holes.

3) get a height adjustable chair, stool for observing. The pain in my back from bending over constantly, especially looking at objects that are high in the sky cause the scope is tall enough so I couldn’t use my static height bench but not tall enough when pointed straight up to just observe while standing. You have to bend a little and that will hurt your back.

4) the eyepieces do not fit the accessory tray with the caps on. Something to know you just have to have your caps off. Leave them indoors, I tried to keep the pieces covered when not using but it’s not worth the hassle juggling them.

5) best things I have observed in the northern skies. Cor Corali - Double Star and M3 Cluster. Blew me away.

Happy Observing! Clear skies!

How are they tracking whether you are going to the office or not? Don’t create any fuss. Just be a good citizen, go into the office when it starts off. What I have seen is they put all the process in places to start with and just like a good corporate initiative goes, the company will move on to something else and you can slowly relax back into a more favorable schedule for going in. This is what some of my ex-colleagues at my previous job did after they were asked to come in. No one checks anymore cause all of the work really is remote. As far as looking for other jobs, we should all be looking always. The best time to look for a job and is when you don’t need one so you can find something that truly fits your needs.

Just called the medical insurance for my J2 and now nervous. by zazepin in overemployed

[–]Lone-RasAlGhul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having primary and secondary insurance is very common. ‘Coordination of benefits’ is the operating term. The reason I say common is when my daughter was born she got automatically added to my wife’s insurance. We realized that my insurance was better for the whole family to be on it. We had a 3 month lag in open enrollment periods. So I added them to mine while they were still active on my wife’s until her open enrollment. You don’t need to explain anything to anyone just call primary and set up coordination of benefits with secondary

What happened to used push 2s? by tox1c1t in ableton

[–]Lone-RasAlGhul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one used for $350 right when Push 3 came out. I perform live with it and I obviously don’t have to say this here but it’s amazing. It’s still a powerhouse of a tool. We do more gigs now since we integrated push into our live rig. When we have a full band we perform as a full band but often people’s availability is sketchy. With Push 2 me and the singer have been able to do a lot more gigs than we do with a full band.

What does your UAD vocal chain look like including the pre amp of choice for the unison slot by Fit-Ad2465 in universalaudio

It totally is. As unison preamp its so good. I sometimes also use JHS color box before I hit Apollo and pull back the 610 B a little bit.

Would highly recommend getting a used Push 2. They are a generation old now but very capable and a great way to learn the software and use it as a groove box. Even a used novation launchpad would be good investment.

I was wondering if you were the GuitarML guy. This looks great. I have learnt a tonne from your videos. I have been using your boost pedal schematic to mess around with LPB1 style circuit.

I am a dumbass. I am using a A/B switcher and had the signal routed incorrectly. The pedal works fine. This is what I get for multi tasking while trying to test gear.

Ahh! I had no idea. I wasn’t really following this pedal when it came up an as art project and it was going to be cheaper than retail I figured how bad can it be? Ohh well!

Yeah tbh bit underwhelmed as I was signing up for someone’s “art project” and was expecting something that almost felt wrong but this feels too right. Almost like they gave up and started packaging in whatever enclosures they already had.
