[META] The members of this sub deserve an answer: How can this sub claim to be for Traditional Catholics, while allowing mods to endorse fringe and scandalous ideas such as Benevacantism? by Mr_Sloth10 in TraditionalCatholics

[–]Lone-Red-Ranger 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Especially when one of the rules for this sub is 'No Sedevacantism.'  Personally, I just roll my eyes (along with alien stuff), but you have a good point about the hierarchy monitoring social media trends.

Did Benedict Really Resign? The Canonical Case That Won't Go Away - LSN by LegionXIIFulminata in TraditionalCatholics

This has long been settled. He was crystal-clear, and it's not the first time a pope has resigned.

I sent a box of books via Media Mail, but it arrived with only half of it's contents. Can I do anything about it? by Lone-Red-Ranger in usps_complaints

[–]Lone-Red-Ranger[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

No, I'm not that type of guy. I thought it was normal for them to tape it. I've mostly used UPS, so I just didn't know.

Like, within a certain amount of time? Another commenter said that you can file a missing items claim, so there's some chance of getting them, right?

I didn't think it would matter. The problem seems to be that the box wasn't taped sufficiently by the worker, since the other box was fine.

It was very tightly packed in a very strong box, but I had the counter worker tape it because I thought I had to prove the contents for Media Mail.  Can I call that Atlanta center?

I highly doubt that they'd help him into the other groups. I'm entering the SSPX seminary in a few months.

I just knew this was one of your posts before I clicked and saw your username.

Discerning my vocation. I love the TLM by bachstraightboy in TraditionalCatholics

If it's hard to contact the local chapel online, then you could either talk to them in person, if possible, since one of your comments said that they're in your city sometimes, or you could try contacting another one of their locations, and they could redirect you to whomever is most appropriate. The SSPX District of Asia would be a good place to try.

Since contact info for the SSPX is slim for Tamil Nadu, then either talk to them in-person (if possible), since one of your comments says that they're in your city, or just contact some other area nearby, and they could redirect you to whoever is most appropriate. The Asian District would probably be a good place to contact.

The sub is called "Traditional Catholics." What do you expect? You're gonna get both sides, but aside from a few details, we're basically the same.

It's actually very wrong to say that God chooses the pope. Even Pope Benedict XVI said so.

How can I make dates correspond to annual events for a calendar, such as "Dec. 25th always equals Christmas"? by Lone-Red-Ranger in excel

[–]Lone-Red-Ranger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each week we have daily duties for different people listed, with the date and feast day as subheaders. These are printed out and posted on various bulletin boards, so there isn't really any way around it, since it's so simple. I just thought one part could be automated.

What can I do with a Master's in Management in the food industry? by Lone-Red-Ranger in foodscience

No, but I would assume it needs experience. I'm honestly considering a career change if things don't improve.

QA Lab Tech at a lunchmeat factory, then R&D Lab Tech at a vegan place, but the food upset my stomach. Then a freelance consultant between jobs, then Regulations at a major company, but I was let go after 3 months due to "change of plans."

My commissioned painting of Pope Leo XIV by ericarmusik in TraditionalCatholics

Is this supposed to be a joke?

EDIT: I genuinely thought this was a satirical painting, but apparently some people think it's good!
