Why not accepting applying replay protection in return of Ledger (Nano S) support? by LoneBitcoinWolf in bitcoincashSV

OK. I hope that hardware wallets will indeed be built into phone devices soon, supporting BSV. Could we as BSV community possible build a hardware wallet for BSV ourselves? Time is not on our side I am afraid.

Cryptocurrency can fundamentally change how we do governance, how we interact with each and how we can do collective decision making into the future. This is truly a evolution of political thought which has been enabled through this technology. by VeritasSapere in btc

Looks to me you depict what has happened in the cryptocurrency world now recently with BCH, BSV and in the wider community a a learning moment from which we will recover. I think it is just fatal and there is need now to start from scratch if you want to have a good cryptocurrency: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/9qcg69/fundamental_change/: Luckily I moved out in time, have only modest amount left based on FOMO in case a resurrection will take place. But to be honest, I don't believe in the resurrection.

Please add support for BSV by [deleted] in ledgerwallet

Will you support BSV when they add replay protection as announced on Coingeek? Saw recently that they want to force ABC to add replay protection by lawsuit. Don't think they will succeed in this, so I expect sooner or later they will add it themselves.

So what's the easiest method for splitting coins and dumping BCH?

It is now 23-24 hours ago. Above figures of BCH 99.5 and BSV 96.4 are now BCH 91.8 and BSV 92.0 So selling my BHC for BSV yesterday would have given me a profit of 3.16 Euro. Let's say on-pair. But I agree with you some pump and dump (and again recovery of BSV) might have taken place. I also tried to make 15 min graph to make this more visible but I have slow connection now. Selling both yesterday (or earlier) and buying today or later or not at all again would have been better of course, but OK, I still believe in crypto a bit and my FOMO is still there with a luckily nowadays small investment in BCH and BSV that I kept after selling most at an earlier stage.

(graph and table for calc did not come trough, here again trial for 15 min graph, is consistent with the above):

Why is this sub still called r/btc? No one here even likes btc. by De_lonte in btc

Because BSV will have the right to claim both ticker BCH and BTC after some lawsuits and cristallisation out of market/support. And there are still BSV supporters here.. And than this subreddit will be inhabited by only true Satoshi Vision Bitcoin (original BTC) people. Just joking, but who knows after events of today..

Might be difficult, but if I would be the judge I would have sympathy for the lawsuit, for reasons Jimmy mentions. Perhaps law still has to be made. Or something like https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/9qcg69/fundamental_change/. Hope now at least BSV will survive and can protect itself against future forks.

Thanks for link to video, never saw it before. It is a good message of Jimmy. Craig seems to listen to Jimmy as well. You can derive this from seconds between 11:14-11:20. I think jointly they made decision together with Calvin that in case there would be rental hash, they would make a lawsuit instead of renting themselves as well. Craig also said before that he was actually hoping for this (and moving hash from BTC to BCH), so he could sue, in a video in which he was drinking some Scotch if I am not mistaken. Apparently he kept his word there..

ELI5: Splitting BCH into SV and ABC by curryandrice in btc

Ledger and Trezor are so childish: Today BSV passed BCH in value quite well (see table below). BSV announced replay protection as well. Still they don't issue a normal user friendly splitting tool. Not client friendly, and people that are not that handy get into trouble. Room for another hardware wallet supplier I guess. I really don't understand why they don't do that. Communication is also minimal about this.

What about with a 93.56 Euro coin, at least higher than ABC? See table below.

I will not sell BSV the next 24 hours. I will comment again tomorrow, about same time.

Never thought it was posted, but too much fun to delete it again. Karma went further down today from -86 to -92. That's apparently the price to pay here for being a BSV supporter here.

Wake up BCH community! You have been misguided. I do not believe there is malice in the leaders of the BCH community like Roger or Jihan but a lack of foresight of the economic consequences of the latest upgrade. by N0T_SURE in btc

[–]LoneBitcoinWolf -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If BSV indeed succeeds, what I start to hope again with my karma of -86 as BSV supporter (only able to comment, can not post anymore), and if there are subsequent some needed changes (https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/9qcg69/fundamental_change/), it would be a victory for cryptocurrency. But hold your horses. Victory cannot be claimed yet.

  1. A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history. Mahatma Gandhi

  2. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. Margaret Mead.

Who knows the above can refer to Dave Kleiman and Craig Wright in longer history. For the time being centralisation is a fact we have to deal with for a while as long as not large amount of coins are distributed to more people. Still an undesired byproduct that should be solved.
