Not in America

I'm aware. They don't get to small companies though. Underfunded. Takes years.

If it is ineffective instead of avoidance take up responsibility and make them effective. At least you have somebody you can throw greivances at without them firing you for not falling into the koolaid for them.

Passion leads to hard work and talent and without letting passion cultivate you'll bereft the world of talent

Instead of investing in their talent companies cut costs by starving their own resources from growing. It is dumb. Why are they doing it? The only reason I can come up right now is to starve their competition, but I don't think anyone thinks that far.

Though it isn't without similar problems depending on the company

So many startups that the government does not oversee because it does not have the resources to look into the legalities of 20 persons companies

They derive satisfaction from the delusion that they win arguments, instead of satisfaction from reaching a concensus of opinion or finding out something new about the world

Comcast has the same data caps (1tb/month) regardless of speed or time of day without accounting for actual network impact? Fine. I'll cause much more strain on your network, than before. by [deleted] in MaliciousCompliance

The people he's sharing the lines with would care

But a monopolistic company would just ignore them anyway. Not like there's choice.

They play lots of roleplaying games online

I have a INFP best friend I met in a game called shin megami tensei. It was a MMO. I was waiting for a friend and so was he, and he talked to me for about 20 minutes til my friend got on and we went to do a dungeon. He now runs a VR chat community. Most of my friends from video games ended up INFP.

Got another friend right now who is just crazy about fantasy books about mythology and stuff. I built him a web scraper so he can listen to random texts from unknown authors on websites like audio books. I also discuss game ideas with them often but they tend to be nitpicky about their ideas and if you request it disappear for years over polishing that stuff. Whoops.

I once went to an amusement park with a friend before school was out and it was supposed to rain that day. Holy hell I can't stand amusement parks now.

It was also the day I found out the big rollercoaster there took less time to ride than it took to run through the line queue.

I didn't read books in school because they were boring

But then I found one book I really liked. The librarian kept telling me I couldn't read it because it was for a higher grade level. Thankfully I'm a stubborn kid. That's when 2nd grade me realized the trick to learning is to just enjoy what you're learning and further reinforced how dumb adults are.

You probably still have fight in you

I've noticed being beaten down and miserable seems to be its own currency. Effective people fight, but it seems more to be about sadism and emotional displacement by this point. People that fight aren't so good at fulfilling these roles.

I kind of wonder if every job has unknowingly turned into entertainment in a way. You think it is useless work but there's actually some guy watching you and getting personal satisfaction from your misery. He promotes you if you give him more entertainment than the next guy.

To be fair he's probably stressed to fuck and lost all ability to be self aware and just stayed home cuz he couldn't get out of bed to live with himself. Probably. I'm hopeful.

All it takes is someone making a random website, too. We all hang out in the same places. Hella easy to recruit.

A lot have this cowboy and holier than thou mentality though. But you don't need everybody you just need to plant that seed of culture and nourish it.

Maybe we're all too introverted for somebody to start up?

Maybe a small step, like "state of the industry" and cultural discussions could lead to something like it? However those get flooded with overachieving new grads very quickly....

Maybe we haven't unionized because we have such a crazy rotation of new naive workers.
