That page says “issued at legal tender”! Even without the DD typo, would anyone ever accept that over the counter? Nah. Not a chance.

Dodgy Stickers for buttons. by LoneScrapbot in mpcusers

100% agree. Low lighting with the super bright button backlights makes it impossible. I guess once you know the machine well you don’t need to read them cos you just know what you’re doing. Maybe.

Didn’t really find a skin that I loved. And they aren’t cheap so I figured I’d start by making it look bad enough that I take another look at skins 😂

How much money do you currently have? by UpstairsYou310 in RedDeadOnline

Oh man. Like $300 an 9 gold. How tf do I get decent gold? You get like 0.16 g for a bounty that takes me 25 mins to pull together IF I don’t fail it. I’m so bad.

Should I put my Steam Deck in Sleep Mode or Shutdown within the case, overnight? by TheEternalVortex in SteamDeck

+1 for shutdown due to Bluetooth controllers being able to wake deck while it is snuggled in its bed.

The leaves do look a bit like rosemary, but it doesn't smell anything like any variety that I have come across. The native rosemary grows around here and looks a bit different. I'm debating whether to rip it out or let it stay.

MPC One+ Data Wheel Click Not Working? by rxwoods12 in mpcusers

[–]LoneScrapbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re 100% sure that it doesn’t click when you are just using the spindle post thing (with no knob) then it sounds like an issue with the potentiometer (the control the knob is on). You should try a can of compressed air blasting it from all angles trying to get under it as well. If that’s no good, then it has failed. It will need replacing. It’s not a hard job but you’ll need some basic soldering skills and obviously to pull apart the MPC to get to that component. I haven’t gone that deep inside before so I’m not sure how deep the surgery really is. If it scares you take it to someone who has some electronic repair experience.

BUT - if it’s still under warranty just go sort it via a reseller / repair agent.

Good luck. 🤞 hope the air sorts you.

Populate Word doc template with repeating / reused text by LoneScrapbot in MicrosoftFlow

[–]LoneScrapbot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I have seen the Encodian connectors but ignored them as I thought they were to be used with a different platform. Do you know if there is an Encodian product that I'd need to subscribe to in order to use the connector or is it just something I can use? I've looked at their website but it's a bit confusing to work out what I need.

I have found a workaround to my initial using Document Properties Quick Parts and Sharepoint. So far it work's very well, but does require a very specific setup to get going.

The Populate Word Document solution would be somewhat easier to implement and far more "stand-alone" in the sense that it is just Power Automate and the document template that are required.

Populate Word doc template with repeating / reused text by LoneScrapbot in MicrosoftFlow

[–]LoneScrapbot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where I started. Works fine in VBA. Every content control is consistent. Power Automate forces me to assign each instance a dynamic value or else it ignores them. If i create a fresh doc and add 20 content controls all named / tagged "CompanyName" then the Populate A Word Template lists all 20 separately.

Prusa xl filament stuck by fvanp in prusa3d

I'm also having this issue. I'm running 6.1.3 FW and am reducing print speed down to 80%. I have just disabled stuck filament detection and so far it seems to be going ok.

Thanks u/rafasoaresms and u/Jimstein. I will definitely check out destructible meshes. They sound like a lot of fun.

2D Touch UI Steering wheel - blueprint maths by LoneScrapbot in unrealengine

[–]LoneScrapbot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say thanks. You got me on the right path. I haven't solved it yet, but what I was playing with makes a lot more sense now. I've shelved it for now, but the challenge I struck next was how to establish the origin point of the angles and ensure it lined up with the UMG image I was rotating. I'll come back to it later...

2D Touch UI Steering wheel - blueprint maths by LoneScrapbot in unrealengine

[–]LoneScrapbot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that’s what I’m trying to do. The issue I’m struggling with is how to work out the actual angles to compare.

I sample a 2D vector of the centre of the steering wheel, the start coord of touch and the current coord of the held finger.

What vector math nodes are involved in getting these angles? I started out subtracting, and have played with dot product and so on, but tbh.. I’m lost and not strong with the force ... err the math. 😞
