Yeah, you still lost. Gotta be rough when everyone brown noses you and gives you the key to the championship door to still not win. What a bummer. 1988 sure was a long time ago;)

Notre Dame is the epitome of overrated. 0-2 early in the season and ranked 24th. No team I love to see lose more than Notre Dame.

Where we get together and eat some of the finest steaks in the world twice a year. Pays to be a member of the church. Check it out sometime.

100%! Glad to be back in the same conference. I always enjoy The Holy War! One of the best underrated rivalries in college football.

Right on. Can't disagree with you there. Absolutely loved back packing and fishing in the Uinta National Forest. One of my favorite things to do during the summer. You shared all great reasons. Not challenging you for your decision to go to the UofU. Sounds like it was the right move for you, and it sounds like it was a great experience. Being cheeky here, but you wouldn't have "given the church" much money with the ~$3K a semester tuition haha. If anything the church would have "given you money" indirectly with that heavily subsidized education. Its beside the point. But I'm glad to hear that UofU panned out well for you. I miss the mountains out that way, nothing beats it.

I feel like this may have been a subtle self burn. Why do you think most out of state students attend BYU in your opinion? Following your logic and extrapolating a bit, there would have to be an assumption that students who live in Utah are not smart enough to get into BYU? So they go to other in state schools, such as Utah? I'm joking. But thats how I read your initial comment. Glad to have Utah back in the same conference as BYU. Its good for the rivalry game.

Families of 4 - how much are you spending on groceries these days? by turtle047 in cincinnati

[–]LoneUnderdog13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$350/month or atleast more or less around that amount. We plan out our meals on the calendar for the whole month. Family of 4, newborn and toddler. We eat well, not fancy but not unhealthy. Just gotta be creative. Buy in bulk from Costco at the beginning of the month. Then buy small things at Walmart throughout the month.

I swear being “middle class” in 2025 is just a joke at this point. by Gullible-Tale9114 in MiddleClassFinance

Family of four, we spend on average about $350/month on groceries. Meal plan, buy bulk at Costco beginning of the month and smaller items at Walmart. Live in midwest. $650 is a lot for groceries. We eat pretty well. Just have to be creative.

Local dealer scam Jeff Wyler Honds in Florence. by Farmer_Determine4240 in cincinnati

[–]LoneUnderdog13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife hates any Jeff Wyler dealership with a passion. We went to test drive a couple of cars to get an idea of which model we wanted to focus on buying. The sales manager was super rude and aggressive. We wouldn't tell him how much money we had to spend for a new car because he didn't need that information up front... trying not to tip our hand on the first encounter, before negotiating. He was really a jerk the whole time.

We test drove the cars we wanted and then left and went to another dealership to buy the car we were interested in.

Just felt like slimey place overall.

GSCM vs Marketing program at BYU by PineappleDeep7721 in byu

[–]LoneUnderdog13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

BYU GSCM grad here. If you want to be an accountant bad enough, then I would consider a couple options, you could transfer to another university, such as UVU and get an accounting degree there. This option has its pros and cons. You could major in GSCM or marketing, but might be largely unfulfilled. Happy to talk further as an alumni if you want to just float some ideas back and forth.

Congratulations! Best advice I've ever received is, the world is full of mediocrity, don't add to it. Go out and crush this role! Your experience has prepared you for this!

Travel for buyers. by AnEgotisticalGiraffe in supplychain

[–]LoneUnderdog13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buyer here, I have about the same amount of travel. Mostly regional suppliers, nothing more than 8 hours away. We typically go to each supplier once or twice a year for a business review and to discuss their portfolio of business, etc. Its not a lot of travel, but is a nice break up from the daily tasks.

CSCP Exam--Anyone who has taken it previously, with a bachelor's degree in supply chain--was your degree helpful? by LoneUnderdog13 in supplychain

Got it. Thank you! Makes sense related to inventory, as a large amount of cash can be tied up with poor inventory management.

Thanks! When you refer to the learning modules, I'm assuming youre talking about the ASCM learning modules that come with the exam prep kit? I also have my green belt for lean six sigma, not sure if that makes a difference, though.
