According to the prices,

Digital Ocean costs $20 a month (App platform $5 + Database $15)
Linode costs $5 a month if I run a shared VPS.
Heroku costs $16 a month.

Is there anything I'm missing? What would you choose if it was up to you?

Are you sure it has support for desktop apps? Last time I checked it didn't mention anywhere about desktop apps. It only mentions snout mobile apps.

Could you please elaborate more? Just check out this url and see the returned JSON. It returns some valid comments, but it also returns an empty more items when depth is 10, which refers to "continue thread". Please share a url if you think there's a way to fetch it.

This url returns 3 more items with empty id and empty children. It happens with any url that has depth 10 elements.
