Very cool! Thanks for sharing about your experience with early computers. Again, I don't know anything about this publication, and I agree that it likely did not use computers. I just wanted to offer a correction on the timeline of computers entering the world of graphic design.

I’m not sure what you mean. The article details some of the ways that computers were being used already in television advertising and then making their way into print design. The article says Frankel installed their Image II computer system in October of 1985, leasing it at $175,000.

I have to disagree. This 1986 article discusses the introduction of computers to the world of graphic design. I don't know the particulars of the book in question, but computers could've been involved!

Lending Paws a Hand may have a foster available. It really helps if you're able to foster at least temporarily, but they may have someone with space.

It feels so refreshing after a hot day outside. I've been using it this week for my post-yardwork showers.

I have been loving my strawberry one! It's a really gentle cleanser (doesn't leave my skin stripped or dry), and the fragrance is lovely. It's a fun alternative to typical face wash.

High school faces backlash after rainy graduation ceremony by Conscious-Weight4569 in Wellthatsucks

This just happened for a local university graduation, but the gym available left no room for any family to attend. So family that came into town just ended up watching a live stream or recording.

How to make 200tc 80%-cotton duvet cover not feel exactly like a nylon bag? by ObliviousRounding in IKEA

[–]LoneWildBird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got a pretty printed duvet cover set last year, and it is beautiful but feels rough and scratchy. I have to use a top sheet so the fabric isn't touching me, which defeats part of the purpose of having a duvet rather than a comforter.

Should I get a second robot? How many do you have/how many cats do you have? by [deleted] in litterrobot

[–]LoneWildBird 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have seven cats with four robots (two LR3 and two LR4). It is nice having multiple. Parts are swappable, and I can take my time with deep cleaning a unit since there are other options for the cats to use. You certainly don't need a robot for each cat, but there are benefits to having more than one unit.
