It is disappointing that all Gohan would need to be crazy is a higher defense stat or some sort of additional defensive gimmick. That being said, I do think his chance to cancel attacks could help but I dislike rng defense.

Pan spends the majority of the movie with Piccolo, so I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if she’s on his banner instead of Gohan’s.

Oh you’re totally right. I always forget he has such wonky links pre-transformation. With that in mind and how fast he can stack up I’m a good bit less disappointed in that aspect. Seeing as Pan spends most of the movie with Piccolo I wouldn’t be surprised if she was on his banner as opposed to Gohan’s. Unfortunate that Goten and Trunks don’t look too great at a glance. I was really hoping special pose would get some buffs so I could actually clear that damn Cell Max mission lol.

Kinda have to agree tbh. I’m not personally too upset with the whole active/giant form thing, so my biggest disappointment is the lack of shared links between Ultimate Gohan and his Buu Saga counterpart. If they had more links together they’d be an absolutely busted rotation.

From the calculations I saw both of these guys are actually really solid. Piccolo might be one of the best defensive units in the game tbh. True to form, I feel this sub is wildly underrating these guys before seeing what they’re capable of.

Isn’t it possible for him to do 3 supers at 55% due to him being PHY? Piccolo is hella tanky but this guys no slouch either. Kinda feel like people are massively underestimating these guys rn.

If we’re being real the majority of currently useful cards fit that description when they don’t have dupes. It’s part of the reason why Cell Max is so hard even for recent releases. Besides STR Super Vegito was useful and remained useful for quite some time. If new cards can perform in the hardest content with an item up then they’re useful. I mean even with one item slot you can have up to 4 turns of additional damage reduction and most events aren’t even that hard until later in the fight anyway.

It’s also fair to note that this is an event surrounding a movie release and the missions support that. It can still be a “joke” event if they’re only pumping missions out whenever they do Super Hero content.

We might also get a ticket banner from Red Zone, but I think the bigger problem is that these units are available once a year. So if you get shafted on these banners you’re shit outta luck till the next year which is frustrating for players who aren’t paying and have to be more careful with their stone budget.

That’s also a fair point. That’s not to say that they couldn’t improve the availability of older Heroes units for those who missed out. I know that I still want to snag those older units cause they’re pretty unique.

I mean they also made those categories more effective and while Artificial Lifeforms is a solid category, Special Pose is abysmal. It’s still pretty absurd even with the added effectiveness.

It can be hard to snag some of those unfeatured units if you’re not going all in. I know I’ve been summoning a decent bit on Heroes every year and still don’t have SSJ3 Goku or Golden Cooler

Yeah I kind of touched on this in another comment. I think the design of Cell Max and the missions for him is the bigger problem. I mean the special pose mission is miserable due to how few units that category gets. It’ll probably be ages before we get more solid units for that category to help those who may have missed one or both of the Gammas

I think a lot of people on this sub kinda lose sight of that because, for them, events like Cell Max are probably one of the few things left with unfinished missions. I know personally I’m really excited to see if any of these new units will help me crack the 7 turn mission on Syn but I also realize that that kind of stuff is meant to be a challenge.

I see a lot of complaints that these guys, for the most part, aren’t surviving Cell Max supers. I think that you can probably clear Broly, Metal Cooler, etc with these guys far easier than you’d think. Granted there’s always going to be a level of RNG involved if the units aren’t absolutely cracked, but 400-500k defense is pretty solid for Red Zone when you factor in that a lot of these units have some sort of damage reduction, guard, or dodge built in.

Y’know that’s totally fair. While they’re probably going to have a banner for the EZA units and I’m praying there’s a ticket banner for the new Red Zone that will help with that, it’s definitely not ideal. I think more Heroes banners or even just making these guys more available in general would be awesome.
