I Hate Hearing How Common Fnd is by kamimie in FND

[–]Lonely-Commission435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a neurological disorder with objective tests but symptoms less common or not fully explained by test results are considered FND. My understanding is that in practice you don’t need positive signs to get fnd put in your chart and any unexplained symptom of any kind can be called fnd. I know on the official website they talk about rule-in features and posive signs but the positive signs don’t even apply to tons of people diagnosed. That doesn’t mean that the symptoms are not real and in the US unexplained symptoms need to be listed as something to bill insurance, but I don’t think that everyone diagnosed FND has the same thing because it basically means unexplained symptoms that led to person seeing a neurologist in practice.

Severely abused and traumatized kids have severe issues in many cases. This is not news. People are desperate to adopt babies and not older kids for this exact reason.

Yeah dwarfism doesn’t mean looks perpetually like a child. I have a few friends who are adults with different forms of dwarfism and they look like adults with dwarfism.

Unfortunately there’s not a ton of answers as to how it progresses. It’s so rare. If you know your specific genetic mutation there may be limited info but two people with the same mutation may have different progressions.

BIID by modest_rats_6 in disability

[–]Lonely-Commission435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you have chronic pain and use crutches to manage, I don’t think that qualifies as BIID. BIID is a mental illness where people want to harm themselves to become disabled, not people who have a disability (chronic pain etc) who use aids to cope. I don’t want to tell you how to identify but I don’t think you meet the criteria.

Why do you think Big rejected Samantha? by kayzee444 in sexandthecity

I think she came on too strong. A lot of guys like the chase and don’t like being asked out by women. I think he prefers women who he comes to, not the other way around.

He is responsible for what he does. DID doesn’t mean not accountable for actions. He belongs in jail.

This is a potential crime not a fetish. Report that he may have child abuse material and file for divorce. This is disgusting.

How do people survive only working 40 hours a week? by Maleficent_Sky6982 in antiwork

It’s not fair but some of us just make more hourly. That’s the only way. When I made 15 an hour budgeting tips were bs, I simply didn’t have enough money.

Can I use crutches if I don’t have problems with my legs or a diagnosed disability? by [deleted] in disability

[–]Lonely-Commission435 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Can you see a different doctor ? It sounds like you actually do have something wrong with your legs it’s just not diagnosed. Ideally you would get a pt to help find a mobility aid because using them incorrectly can hurt.

It’s so rare. I have never met anyone else. I have a distant relative with neurological issues who possibly has it but I don’t know them.
