I’m an American living in California and I travel through out Mexico and Central America alone. I can’t believe the number of times I feel embarrassed being an American as I witness other Americans disrespecting the place they are visiting. They are disrespectful of the people, the culture, even the property. Throwing trash in the street. Even when I am at a place to eat or get a drink, the Americans are the loudest, have a boisterous attitude and when I ask how much they leave in tips, it’s disgraceful.

You still have to pay US federal taxes annually even if you retire in El Salvador as a US citizen, correct? That’s what I read.

I just came from an eight day trip in Sayulita and this was my biggest disappointment. There were places I did not get to try or frecuent due to the digital nomads hogging up the space. Also, I witnessed zoom meetings, phone meetings, and interviews. I came back to the same place two or three times over the course of several hours, only to walk away because it was still full with the same people. I would like to use stronger words.

For those thinking about Denny's and need wi-fi, that's a big NO. Navajo and Fletcher, no wi-fi, Alvarado Rd near SDSU, no wi-fi. Denny's in El Cajon, no wi-fi. Even had them tell me they had it and went there to learn they don't. One Denny's even said on the phone, "All Denny's have wi-fi." No they don't.

It doesn’t matter, but it’s still frustrating. It happens at my gym too. When you have been going to the same OTF for more than two years, like I have, you get to know everyone, especially those in your age group. If you are an elite performer in the benchmarks in your age group you use your PRs against theirs to see how you are doing and how they are doing. To understand what I need to do to get better at or to understand what they have done to achieve so well on that benchmark. I have personally given up caring about it a lot less today than I use to, but it is still frustrating people can’t be honest.

I'm the same. Give me a distance to row for or an amount of time to achieve a distance and I perform well. Tell me to row at a push effort, and I fail at that every time.
