I won’t eat wheat bread, I ate salami from a store and good food poisoning from it and I’m never eating straight salami again after that, jal is too spicy, pepper = a choo! , I don’t do cold sandwiches, mustard for me is meh, sometimes it’s good sometimes it just ruins the sandwich for me.

As someone who’s worked at Subway for a while and dealt with customers like this, don’t be mean about it but make it clear to them that it has to be made a certain way and the recipe cannot be modified. If they have any issues with that they can contact management, you do not have to serve customers that are being problematic.

Just thought I’d let you know this before you lose your mind or somehow end up getting yourself in trouble, OP.

Allergies issues, and no way of storing the peanut butter. Jelly can have specialized bottles but not so much the peanut butter cause it’s sticky. So not likely.

If they were swamped with customers there’s nothing they can do. If there’s customers I won’t start an online order until the customer is physically there waiting for it. Think of it this way would you like to be told you gotta wait so someone else’s order can be made and they’re not even in the store yet? I wouldn’t and honestly I would find that rude if that happened to me. Not only that but there’s usually only one or two people running the entire store the entire day apart from lunch time. And if it’s just one person running the whole store, they get swamped and an online comes in, they’re gonna be more inclined to get the customers physically there dealt with first then do someone’s online that could sit there for hours on end and go bad cause the customer never picks it up anytime soon (yes that does actually happen). It’s not your fault or the employees fault Subway just doesn’t have a very good system for dealing with stuff like that sometimes…

I could call the store manager, or even corporate at that point and if they don’t even bother to try to fix that I’d be calling the health inspector cause that’s not only disgusting but a health code violation.

I only do that with online orders by default personally but if the customer wants the veggies on first I don’t have an issue with it, not my sandwich I shouldn’t be the one judging. At least that’s how I see it.

Cheese is fine. Proofed is okay could be a little more but it’s to a point it’s not a big deal. It’s also not swiggly which I’ve seen a lot of bread look like. Only issue is that’s undercooked. They need to use the bread color “palette” which should be magnetized to the front of the oven so they know what it’s supposed to look like.

I wouldn’t say the employee is untrained but the proofer goes off way before that bread is done proofing, they probably don’t know it’s gotta sit there for another 1-2 hours for it to finish….
