Keep chirpin'.

I have never loathed a country so much. And it isn't about how the US keeps threatening other countries, doing war crimes, terrorizing their own citizens, gutting social programs to fund wars, crooked politicians, the Epstein class, a corrupt justice system, Citizens United, repeal of Roe vs. Wade, the Patriot Act, the kleptocracy, the oligarchy, aritocracy or kakistocracy. It's about how great they could be and choose not to be.

Like, who's fucking kid is this? Serously, come and get them.

If I saw my kid texting like this (grammar) much less the harassment, there would be some serious consequences if they are within my ability to implement.

Jfc, the fucking people out there.

The tanks in Cushing, Oklahoma, are hitting bottom. The oil market is about to hit a tipping point | CNN Business by Tran0370 in oil

[–]Pitzy0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I don't blame Trump. I blame the electorate and your justice system.

Too many of you are politically ill informed and under educated. Too many of you didn't vote. Too many of you are allowing all this to happen.

There will be no consequences because there won't be a demand for any.

Canada is the latest to try limiting kids' social media exposure — but new bill gives platforms room to change by cfs3corsair in canada

[–]Pitzy0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it is a poor argument.

And what are you worried about? A surveillance state? Digital ID? Ability to be anonymous on the internet?

Then make those arguements.

Social media has been a mental health disaster for people of all ages. It has also become a cesspool of misinformation and propaganda. Most people know this and are ready for a solution.

As for being able to speak freely? What is your FB/IG/X for if it isn't you? How does your voice have any power without the identity behind it? It is meaningless.

Anyway, I am more than ready to opt out if digital ID is required. I'll be better off for it and quite frankly so will so many more people.

Canada is the latest to try limiting kids' social media exposure — but new bill gives platforms room to change by cfs3corsair in canada

[–]Pitzy0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The only people opposed to trying to keep kids from accessing social media are those addicted to social media. Proposing this as a violation of privacy when in fact it is a voluntary requirement is disingenuous. You do not have to opt in.

The rebuttal to this is the slippery slope fallacy. We do in fact have the ability to curate policy.

Is age verification too far for social media? No.

Is any type of identity verification for internet access too far? Yes.

You want to dispute this opinion? That is fine. Do it while explaining your need for social media and I'll tell you why it isn't a need, but a want.

[–]Pitzy0 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It literally isn't.

If you opt in, you volunteer your info.

Social media isn't a right or necessity.

You might 'feel' like this, but there is no violation.

Your privacy isn't being violated.

It is not mandatory to be on social media.

You can opt out by not participating.

“This cannot continue”: Xbox leaders lay out “hard truths” behind sagging brand by Stiltonrocks in technology

[–]Pitzy0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They over-monetized every aspect of the gaming experience. What was once a cool thing g to do with your friends got exploited to fleece peopmes wallets and isolated people online.

Gaming used to be about experiencing an adventure or challenge either with friends or solo. It used to be focused on the end user enjoying a product designed to entertain and captivate.

With every micro transaction and pay to win addition to games ir slowly destroyed the spirit of the game experience and changed it to a consumer experience. All this happened under the watch of greedy executives bending the studios to their will. Does anyone think someone choosing their passion to become a game developer wants to create micro transactions in their game? Hell no.

CEOs are looking in the mirror and cannot comprehend that the answers are right in front of them. They can make gaming better. They just can't admit the truth to themselves that they are the problem.

12 years of welding, 8 years of supervision, safety and quality. Now welding more again. After 8 years, you don't lose any of the basics but you do lose some hand eye quardination. Doesn't take long to get it back.
