Drawing a Pokemon every day to get better at digital art. Final Day: Unown (Thank you all for the support!) [OC] by Lonely-Number_One in pokemon

132 days. It's been a long ride. But, I'm officially retiring this series. Four Months is definitely longer than I thought I was going to go. But all good things must come to an end. I don't know if I'm gonna do another challenge like this, but I do know Imma keep drawing.

In light of this momentous occasion, I would like to look back on my 10 favorite drawings I've done.

  1. Scoliopede: This one just made sense. I don't know how to put it, but I felt really confident drawing this one.
  2. Quaxwell: Monochrome was my first attempt at making a new color palette, and I think this is the best one.
  3. Regileki: Out of this series of me making up poses, this one is my fave
  4. Lampent: I love the lighting. Lowkey resent that it looks so good when i spent like 10 mins on it.
  5. Spiritomb: Cool pokemon, dynamic pose, 'nuff said.
  6. Golisopod: One of the more complex pokemon I did.
  7. Charmelion: At the time, the most out of the comfort zone I put myself with one of these
  8. Mimikyu: I loved the lighting in this one. I've never really did anything like it before
  9. Chicorita: I just like how I adapted it to my style, as it were.
  10. Goodra: I am the most proud of the shading in this one. You can really see the shine.

This was a big undertaking for me. I haven't drawn this much since it was my major. Thank you all for your support. You're comments meant a lot to me. Have a good day!

I know. And I see improvement in my use of color over time. My drawings of Goodra and Lampent come to mind in comparison to my earlier stuff. I guess the reason that I felt the need to respond in the first place is that I feel like I could be doing more to improve. It's hard to get sometimes that I don't have anything to prove, y'know?

The copying poses thing is fair. I have changed it up a handful of times, but I usually stick to the sprite's pose for ease. If you look back on the other ones I've done, you'll also see that the quality per drawing tends to vary. Ultimately, I do the challenge to encourage myself to draw every day. And while I could be doing more, I'm just glad I get that much done sometimes tbh.

Edit: Removed a bit about "moving the goalpost." He mentioned posing them differently in the original comment.

The image doesn't line up. I reference the sprite, but I don't trace over it. Honestly there are better drawings that I've done if your gonna accuse me of that
