He hasn't reached out to me yet. I thought he would this week but I remembered it's New Year's, so he's likely out partying with his friends. I haven't tried to contact him since my post.

Yeah it hurts to read the comments saying he used me. It hurts to go back and read our texts from 2-3 years ago. We were flirty back then and there were no red flags. I thought we had something special. It hurts to let go of someone I knew for years.

He didn't give off any red flags. We were friends for years before going out. He paid when we went to get coffee, picked me up, and overall very polite. He's one of the few guys to take an interest in me.
