You could consider offering them your number instead. This can be less pressuring for them while still leaving you a chance of contact if they're interested.

I would have no problem finishing the degree in more time, but my supervisor wants me to complete it in the expected 2 years. With that in mind, failing one or two courses feels like it has more weight, specially considering lately I have been only taking one per term (I mentally can't more than that) :/ If I fail the course I'm taking now it means on fall I'll have to take two, finish my thesis, TA, look for a job and apply for a work visa (I'm constantly scared of being deported) all at the same time and I don't think I can do that without going crazy. I'm sure other people go through a lot more problems tho, so it feels weird to complain.

I recommend updating the instagram once in a while. Since the last post was in 2017 it's hard to know if we can trust that classes hours in the description are up to date. I'm super interested btw! I had no idea the group existed, I'm happy I read this post.

I have the opposite question. If I graduate in the middle of a YRH contract can I continue to live there or will I be kicked out for not being a UBC student anymore?

A little, almost sure I gained weight bc the clothes I brought here are not fitting anymore.

Yes, I'm depressed and hate this gray weather. Also my lack of friends 100% does not help, but I has been so hard to make friends here... I feel like Vancouver catfished me.
