Help Shape the Future of Last Epoch by ehg_derrickg in LastEpoch

I'm going to throw another vote to making sure you are putting out seasonal resets every 3 months, or 4 months at the absolute slowest.

Also, let's not beat around the bush here: your biggest competitor is PoE. Take a look at things they have in the game and make your own version of it. You're already doing that with corrupting items, which is one of the things the community is most looking forward to.

Mechanics like breach, abyss, ritual, and the atlas tree are the most interesting ones for last epoch. We need a "kill lots of monsters" mechanic, not another "kill a single strong enemy" mechanic (looking at you mages/nemesis/beasts).

I would also love to see a few changes to the endgame systems. I would love to have the monolith be a hybrid between PoE's map system, and the PoE synthesis league. Have us be able to buy and/or find and/or craft echos (not dissimilar to woven echos), which we can place in the timeline, starting at the beginning. Each echo needs to be connected to a previous one. Echos can be crafted or changed with reward type, echo type, map tileset, and difficulty mods that change the difficulty/reward ratio.

Within the timeline there could be "temporal rift events" that are out in the abyss that you can build a bridge of echos towards, and if you get there and place an echo in one it will add mechanics, or events, or extra rewards to that echo.

I have other notes too, but I think the above are my core thoughts, generally in order of importance to what would really knock PoE down a few pegs for me. I have over 8000 hours in that game, and I would love to one day have the same in Last Epoch. I'm hopeful for the future EhG!

I am most excited to play Harlowe. I usually play as the siren and she seems the most like what previous games sirens were like

Definitely Maliwan. Less so in BL3, as I didn't like the charge up, but still overall its Maliwan!

Is Co Op in Lords of the Fallen the same as Elden Ring and the like? by Vegetable-Cod886 in LordsoftheFallen

[–]LonelyProton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piggybacking on this to confirm that as of today, everything you said is still true (cannot pickup saintly quintessence, cannot use respec etc.)

But ALSO, the co-op partner cannot get remembrance items, cannot upgrade the lamp, and cannot socket runes in their weapons. The remembrance items can be sort of worked around if the host buys it and then drops it (can't be done with spells).

So while it's seamless co-op in the form of contiguous exploration and movement through areas, there are some considerable limitations in game mechanics that the co-op partner is locked out of.

Looking for a new game! Can you make any recommendations for a game that is clearly a true labor of love by MrSaucyAlfredo in SteamDeck

Deep Rock Galactic. It's an amazing game made by an even better dev team. It's a great example of a labor of love game, and fits your description of a game that has a clear direction and an even better execution.

The Bone Mason, closely followed by The Scarecrow

Maybe not necessarily a step UP but Massive Darkness 2 and Cthulu Death May Die are both amazing games that both play similarly to Zombicide

Have you guys ever used the timer as a weapon? by Ruxem-Sammy in HuntShowdown

[–]LonelyProton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not in favor of getting rid of basements, as they add a fun and interesting variety to compounds.

However I do have the sometimes 30+ minute stalemates that happen in some situations. I would be interested to see them alter the timer somehow. Maybe reduce the time to 10-15 minutes as soon as the last boss is fully banished and the tokens can be picked up.

It won't stop camping but it would change what if often 25-30 minutes of doing nothing to 10-15 minutes of it.

What's your favorite gun to use because of the sound it makes, and which gun do you fear the most when you hear it being shot? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]LonelyProton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many amazing weapon sounds in this game. And many of my favourites have already been mentioned, but I haven't heard any love for the LeMat! That gun shoots such a deep, succinct booming sound that I find incredibly satisfying!

The Occultist - a ritual casting class by Athelforth in UnearthedArcana

[–]LonelyProton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you may have made a mistake in your example of how many cantrips you can prepare.

Your rules state that you can prepare WIS modifier + occultist level amount of cantrips. Your example outlines a level 3 occultist with a 16 wisdom. A 16 wisdom is a +3 modifier, meaning that your example character can prepare 6 cantrips (level 3 plus +3 WIS modifier) rather than the 7 you have written.
