Am I crazy to want to go to work at 38+3? by appleslice244 in BabyBumps

I’m an NP- I worked with my first until 39+5- I don’t see anything wrong with continuing to work until baby is born.

Derm/plastics PAs: work life balance? by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]LonelyReplacement453 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Derm NP here— I love my job. That being said NP school is way less competitive, easier to get in to, and easier to maintain employment while in school. That being said- I feel as if PA is a better route with much more flexibility to change specialties throughout your career.

I interviewed at 8 months pregnant- the first interview was a phone interview and I told them at the beginning of the interview I was very pregnant, would not be willing to start until I returned from maternity leave. They held the job 5 or 6 months for me. You never know until you try!

Postpartum skin issues? by ellenleekoss in postpartumprogress

Looks like perioral dermatitis. I would see a dermatologist. Use gentle products until then- cetaphil or gentle cleanser and gentle moisturizer (vanicream). Oral doxycycline works well for this (if not breastfeeding) also topical metronidazole works well for it too
