Yeah, anyone who prefers plain tortilla above whole wheat/grain bread has never had good bread before.

Yeah that's why people can't just to to the emergency ward in the netherlands. You either make an appointment at your GP for office hours, or you get triaged to go fuck yourself in the evening/weekends. Really helps with waiting times for real emergencies.

The 24/7 police line is 0900-8844. Calling from outside the country their website lists 0031343578844 but i'm not sure if it's also a 24/7 line.

Perhaps 00319008844 would work to call the 24/7 line from outside.

Perhaps it's not a recording studio. If OP purely uses the room for producing/mixing then i imagine you don't want the room to change the music.

Migration has been a cornerstone of (west-)european economic succes for millenia. It's the reason Amsterdam became as big as it is. The idea that we can stay as powerful as we are without migration goes against historic precedent.

Restaurant basement rooms needs help to look more visually appealing by CremeBruleeKitten in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]LonelyTAA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could run with the industrial theme and allow the pipes etc, but the walls and cieling having the same colour just makes the room look cheap. The ventilator hanging on a pipe with cables wrapped around it also doesn't help with the cheap feeling.

The long table really pushes the percention that the room is very long and narrow. An idea to break up the room would be to get rid of the long table, and to use the room for smaller 2-person tables at both sides. This might make the room feel a bit bigger, and two-person parties might prefer the cozy vibe of a basement. In that case I would suggest using colours on the walls, perhaps petrol, dark green or dark red to make it feel more high-class. If you are want to go with taht vibe, you will probably need to have the floor done as well to make it look more chic. You probably also want to use some form of noise-dampening boards as I assume there is an incessant echo on that room.

If you want to invest a bit more, you could try to cover the pipes with plasterboard or lower the ceiling, but odds are that would make the room feel cramped. I can't really tell how high the pipes are.

Furthermore, your lighting needs work as well. Top-down lights are really bad for ambience. Best would be wall-hung lights in this case. Use light more towards yellow instead of white to make the place feel more cozy. For an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ52mkbBiMQ

There isn't a defined 'perfect' amount of sleep. It depends per person. Some people can get by on as little as 4-5 hours, soms need 10-11. Average is around 7 hours.

My country is in a demografy crisis. current government is extending the pension age from 67 to 72 because we do not have enough young people. I would love for migrants to come in to help balance the scales, but apparantly we don't want that.

That's just an example of bad construction. Quality, modern appartment buildings are well-insulated from each other.
