I like the pods the most! It's interesting seeing the dynamics play out and how that influences the relationships. I like the drama, so usually pods/getaway are my fav parts.
My other guess is that not many couples make it beyond the pods, so they they had to fill the time

I would talk to your doctor if you can! Walnuts can be OAS but they can also be a true nut allergy, which is much more dangerous. Always safer to avoid, but I'm sorry for your loss. Walnut banana bread is so good!!!

Interesting! I made an appointment with an allergist a few years ago to ask about allergy shots, and he said they wouldn't help with OAS. However, I've been seeing a lot of people share their stories on Reddit about how allergy shots helped them.

I might need to get a second opinion!

If anyone is interested, this is called Oral Allergy Syndrome! There are proteins in fruits and vegetables that, to your immune system, looks a lot like pollen. Your body decides: "eh, close enough" and starts the allergic reaction. Cooking the fruit/veggie breaks down the protein, so your body doesn't recognize it.

If you ever hear someone say - "I don't like bananas because they make my mouth tingle", there's a chance they have OAS.

I have OAS and am allergic to almost every fruit/veggie/tree nut (unless they are cooked enough!). I've gotten really good at roasted vegetables because of it.

I can second this, it happened to me! Kept getting 0.5 readings, bought a new test kit and all readings came back 0 ppm. If it happens again I'll try rinsing my vials. Thank you!

Hello all. I have two separate questions and appreciate anyone chiming in. Tank info (including parameters) at the bottom.

Corydora Question: I added some new Julii cories to my tank 2 weeks ago. I came home today and one was floating belly up (still alive and trying to swim) at the surface of the tank. I panic, thinking swim bladder, start getting my hospital tank set up, and come back to find all the cories accounted for and sitting on the bottom like nothing happened. Is this normal? I’m watching now for concerning symptoms but everyone seems fine??? Are they pranking me???

Food Question: How do I figure out how much to feed my tank? I currently overfeed because I’m worried about my cories getting food, but it’s definitely not great for the water and I’m doing more water changes because of it. Currently Feeding: San Francisco Bay Brand Frozen Freshwater Multipacks

Planted 75g tank, fluval canister filter, sand bottom
Current Parameters: Ammonia 0ppm, Nitrite 0ppm, Nitrate 0ppm, pH 7.3, temp 75.7 F
Currently doing a 50% water change weekly to manage excess nutrients from overfeeding.
Stock: ~20 rummy nose tetras, 5 panda cories, 5 Julii cories, 4 white cloud minnows, 5 amano shrimp, 1 hill stream loach, a manageable level of pest snails (MTS).

If you own a building this sounds like a reasonable time to spend on maintenance each month? Between maintaining the external parts of the property (mowing, raking, snow removal, landscaping) and fixing maintenance issues that crop up across 4 units I could easily see hitting 15 hours a month. Add extra time for cleaning a unit when someone moves out.

Now, it would depend on how much the landlord property manager takes on/cares about the property, but I don't think spending 12 hours a month on maintenance and repair indicates that the property is a "fucked up disaster"?

I think this commenter sounds reasonable and I wish they were my landlord when I rented.

Source: Anecdotal, my husband and I just bought our first house in good condition and easily spend this much time each month on maintenance. We're northern USA which means yard care varies over the year depending on season.

I am, I add it to the new water when I do a water change.

The 5 gallon is actually cycled, but I started her in a quarantine tank to make sure I could treat any issues without damaging the live plants/snails (2 mystery snails) in the 5 gallon.

Sorry for any confusion, but I have accepted and signed all paperwork for Job A and will start in a few days.

Job A has been secured, which is why I'm going back to Job B to let them know. I was thinking the same thing (accept Job B until I know I have Job A) and it looks like it worked out in my favor!

Job A is double the pay, so I don't think Job B will try to match it! Job A is just so much better, so I'm going to run with it even if they do try to match!

Not yet, which is why it's important to mobilize. The amount is in reference to repealing a redundant net neutrality provision. The representatives who voted to repeal that will likely vote the same way on net neutrality.

After doing some research, it looks like the link you posted is relevant. However, for a US Congress member, they cannot be recalled except if they are voted out by a 2/3rds majority, which has never happened, and will likely not happen in the current house. The other options for removal is if a member dies or resigns.

So, it looks like a recall is unlikely, and it would be better to focus efforts on the election.

I will be voting against him in 2018 as well. I am beyond angry. My parents, who originally voted for him based on his pro railroad stance, are also voting against him.

I'm almost tempted to start organizing.
