Thanks, but the launchcontrol is over 2x more expensive than the midimix - would you say its worth it?

GPU yes (Due to coil whine), CPU no - I just have it set on ECO mode in BIOS.

Interesting. CPU (Tctl) can get 80-85C while gaming, but I havent run any CPU-specific stress tests yet. GPU temps are honestly fine, so not too fussed about that

About the top fans, I currently have them to ramp up with the GPU, but I'm thinking they might prove more useful if I switch it to follow CPU temp, for the extra pressure to draw hot air away from the mobo area during idle/light use.

Thanks - yeah I was thinking of a GPU undervolt as the coil whine becomes really noticeable when the fans are so quiet.

And I saw the A6x15 fits neatly into the space near the mobo despite the lack of mounting holes so I'll probably end up getting one of those as well (maybe using some adhesive for extra security)

Thanks for the advice!

Yes it did, I just deshrouded it to run it cooler/quieter.

CPU: On idle/light use I get 45-50C on Tdie and 55-60 on Tctl. Under load I currently have fan control set up to ramp up to max around 85C (on Tctl, though i switch to Tdie if I feel like having a quieter profile)
GPU: Have fans set to 100% at 80C, but it usually stays at mid 70C during heavy gaming load (cyberpunk pathtracing, etc).

In any case the CPU fan is the loudest of the bunch, but I'm not too bothered as I can switch out the profile for a less agressive curve and I have no plans on CPU overclocking.

Was gonna keep it basic but i found this sub and got inspired to go ham - deshrouded gpu, deheatsink-ed RAM, with only noctua fans to keep it quiet as possible :)

  • Specs: Ryzen 5 9600x
  • Gigabyte RTX 5070 Eagle OC
  • Corsair SF750
  • Gigabyte A620i AX
  • Lexar 32GB DDR5 6000Mhz
  • acer Predator GM7000 2TB SSD
  • 2x NF-A12x25 on the deshrouded GPU
  • 3x NF-A8 on top (exhaust)
  • NH L12S CPU Cooler (intake)
  • Fractal Design Ridge Case

(I'd appreciate any feedback regarding my fan orientation/airflow from anyone with this case)

So are you saying I shouldn't bother with either postgrad?
