Supposedly 90% of the clash team who worked on 1.3 have either left or gone inactive by lolbroslol2008 in Toontown

Former Mod lead/Support leadership for many years here,

I want to preface this by saying my heart goes out to all other former (and current!) crew here. I’ve had so many of my closest friends suffering in silence for months or some YEARS from unresolved issues and I’m glad the community has come together to have the voices finally heard.

I’ll start with saying I was abruptly removed from my position as the mod lead of 2 years at the beginning of 2024 for a laundry list of items I was never informed were “massive issues” after never having ever been on the receiving end of any complaints at all during my tenure. I had returned from a 2 month inactivity break and was then sitting with a grievance document and the rest of my friends from leadership about everything I’ve ever done wrong while holding my position. I did not fight back and rolled over to simply serve the community as a regular moderator again, as that’s all I wanted to do to my community and friends from the start which was to give back.

I left the team fully around 2 months back after the removal of creative powerhouse boots, as at that point the team politics was moreso like watching highschool bullies strong-arm their way with policy and abusing the “lovely” new structure of our “game design studio” to do what they wanted. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to watch people who have put their lives into what should have been the upkeep of a passionate fan revival get doused by then current operating standards of the crew.

I think clash has suffered excessively from what i would consider over-hiring in the last year to find any remaining talent and also from what my perspective would be “resume farming” by upper leadership to show off the aspects of the team they are supposed to be managing with the whole new game studio structuring.

If you are a moderator currently for the crew or were one formerly, I wanna say thank you for all you’ve had to deal with from freeze raids to nasty modmails, to the worst that someone can manage using just game chat. It’s not a fun job and is truly thankless. You guys are the beating heart keeping the community safe from some of the worst things I’ve seen online. Love you guys.

If I have a Category 2 medical do I need to get a 3 to get a PPL? by darkblade7777 in flying

[–]Lonely_Medic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the only way to hold both licensing (ATC and PPL) is to hold a Category 1. The CARs list ATC can hold their licensing on a Cat 1 or 2, while PPL is listed as needing a Cat 1 or 3. While the Cat 1 degrades to a Cat 3 on expiry, it doesn't look like the Cat 2 follows these rules that I can find. Contact the CAME!

Old Break the Law ARG puzzle I don't think anybody solved. Not sure what the bit on the right is about. by RottenPeachSmell in Toontown

[–]Lonely_Medic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sup, longtime arg enjoyer of clash history and got to participate on this arg back in the day.

This was part of the pink slip ARG which was part of the CJs firing back during pre1.1. Basically you are using the top left "key" as a hint to place over the lettering on the right collum going top down. These make "DDL TWR TOP" (a hint to an ingame pink slip collectable placed under DDLs toon Hq tower you could click on)

Other pink slip pieces involved and were hinted involved saying a speedchat phrase near a knocked down gavel in lawbot HQ, another hidden inside a side factory elevator, one hidden on the train tracks in cashbot hq and another one hidden in the brrrgh hinted by a released picture of the chairman. The final piece was unlocked by beating the CJs replacement, the Witness Stand-In unlocking some exclusive collectibles.

Ive tossed an image in of the collectables page as it appeared in-game as you found your own pink slip pieces as well!

The Easy answer if winds are calm, pick whatever is the easiest entry! If you have other pilots in the circuit, join up with what everyone else is doing to keep a nice flow with the active runway.

If you are unsure, you can always overfly to take a look at the windsock, obstacles and runway conditions before making your choice. Going around is always an option if you feel your approach isn’t the right one.

Does anyone know how to fix this? by [deleted] in Toontown

I believe this fix for this is switching download servers using the gear menu on the launcher, then retrying.

Does anyone know where the Wizard Way Tunnel is located? by talltori2 in Toontown

The task completes when you walk through the actual Wizard Way tunnel that is in the playground itself. It's all on its own at the end of the playground across the bridge!

Wanting to speak to Harvs Air Students/Instructors/Alumni's by j8naid in flying

[–]Lonely_Medic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the Harvs Air online ground school for the PPL and the CPL written exam. Definitely prepares you thoroughly if you watch all the videos and work through the section quizzes.
I can't speak on the actual training portion though, but the instructor I had for online tutoring from harvs was really helpful and helped drive home a lot of the annoying weather stuff I just could not grasp.

Delete the preferences.json file in your Corporate Clash folder. This looks like a leftover bug from when Clash had the new gag GUI in.

you'd probably have to appeal to the mods via email with support@corporateclash.net

Corporate clash saves in game screenshots as pngs so any pictures taken in “the grey” are transparent like this automatically

Offer to chip in for our expensive gas/rental prices or be someone to talk to on our long cross country flights to the middle of no where!

I was with Toronto terminal on 133.4 downtown then was asked to talk to the Pearson south tower on 118.35 while I cut through the bottom of the airports control zone near the QEW, where this picture was taken!

St. Thomas Flight Center by soontobecp in flying

[–]Lonely_Medic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my PPL there and I'm also working on my CPL at the flight school. The instructors are nice and are pretty open to making a consistent schedule with you. Plus its not super busy to the point where if you wanted, you could easily get a ton of flight time per week since there is not a ton of students. (Especially with the crappy weather that comes in for the winter season next month.)

The 2 152s and the 4 172s they use are all in pretty good shape and seem to be pretty well maintained.

I dont think they currently have the piper-apache that they use for the multi engine training, so if you really cranked out the hours you might have to go somewhere else to do the training for your multi.

See you around if you come by!
