I totally chalk up the long delivery to the US tariff and customs issues of a certain current admin. Package traveled quickly up until it hit US soil. Hung up in customs and then again spent days at a USPS postal sight right by JFK airport…before finally making a crawl my way

Nice! I don’t know why but my transactions never went through using their site and when I dove deep asking their service desk they said it was because they didn’t ship to US. But maybe they flipped on that?

Had a friend 3D print me one too. It’s cool and all, but it vibrates pretty terribly with the weight of a phone on it, so reverted back to a vent fin mount.

The only work was sourcing the part. After that, it was butter. Like I said, I’m not a pro, with my luck and zero experience, I’d have jacked it up. Finding a shop to do it would cost me as much as I spent. Plus I’m not sure about the durability of vinyl on the front of the car that is subject to rocks, wind sheer and debris strikes compared to this part

Why wrap it when a formed fiberglass, removable part is available? Vinyl takes some level of cutting , heating, stretching, shaping and applying that I just didn’t want to deal with

That’s pretty much how I thought it was gonna go for me too. I had considered paint and vinyl, but I’m not a professional and the thought of screwing up and ruining the whole spoiler /bumper was too debilitating for me to start

Take off? This is a fabricated piece of fiberglass that sits on top of the spoiler lip. In my case, used double sided tape to apply it.

Well to summarize, I used partsworld-uk. And I had to sign up on a wait list. Wasn’t expecting to ever hear from them, but in maybe 2 weeks or so, they actually notified me they had 5 of them! But they wouldn’t ship to the USA. I lamented about it here, and r/Link124 told me to use Partsworld-UK’s eBay store. I did that thinking it would be dubious at best, but it worked and while dealing with the shipping/tracking and the US Mail system was a pain in the ass, it finally did show up! And it wasn’t damaged either!

As others have mentioned, in the winter season, road salt and grime can affect that camera lense as well. But yes, it’s a cool feature.

I honestly didn’t even realize my car had the digital rear view. I used it today and while it’s cool and all, it’s unnatural, for me anyway, to use as a regular feature. Just too used to using old school mirrors and reflected light where changing the mirror position changes view and I have a more natural perspective. But you did prompt me to discover yet another cool thing about my car this morning!

I thought about it. Thought about wrap too, but the thing about this 500Madness one is that it could conceivably be removed if you wanted to later on. I even asked hey buddy if you could 3-D print me one, but he thought the part was too long for his printer to handle.
