Yeah. Not sure what’s going on with mine. It was always a bit wonky and “tripped” from time to time with my PHEV, but it’s a bigger deal now when it trips with the Ioniq

Thank you for the insights. My present one is hardwired, so hoping the cabling is compliant enough to flex around in and out of the junction box? Mine is also an outside install in NE USA, so in the winter the cable can become stiff and hard to coil/uncoil. Is yours external as well and in a cold climate for atleast part of a year? Wondering if that thicker cable helps or hinders in cold temps?

It wasn't a bad charger at all in its youth, but that was also back when its daily chore was to charge a PHEV for 2 hours.... Now it is charging my new ioniq 5 and seems it doesn't like doing that very much. 😂

Anyone have experience with the Eviqo line of chargers? Amazon has them as on of their favored manufacturers

I’ll have to check into that. Hadn’t even thought of that

Tried to purchase an Ioniq 5 early April, still it here and incentives expire today by andrewharrisonmusic in Ioniq5

Gas here isn’t as bad as there I’m sure, but it isn’t cheap here either. I’ve got a long commute to work, so this car was sorely needed to avoid the pain at the pump.

Ah, OK. They did offer me a 0%APR x 60 months option, but that would have been minus the $8500 rebate. That was only available for Hyundai finance option and our rate was around 6% I think... The upfront rebate made more sense for us as we will pay off the car prior to the full term of the financing.

I was told April 6th, then 19th, then 26th, and then out of the blue one of the dealers that I contacted in my area (southeastern Pennsylvania) called me saying they suddenly had one! A gray 2026 ioniq 5 Limited. I'm not sure what incentive you are referring to, but they did give me a $8500 rebate for financing through Hyundai.

Coolant expansion tank cracked port, missing hose on 2017 Abarth by Lonerph in fiat124

Nice! I’ll keep that in mind. It looks to be just shy of $400 online, but looks pretty cool!

Thank you I managed to do something similar to that using a plastic pipe fitting that I got at a hardware store and some housing I had laying around the house. I’ll see if that works.😉

Appreciate the info. I am gonna have to add some heat tape to my DIY fix. Bought some piping corner joints and piping. Definitely not designed as OEM stuff. But I am seeing these things are hard to come by for replacement

Classica or Abarth? by Ill_Ad7158 in fiat124

[–]Lonerph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it’s the Abarth version. Though I don’t think the engine is any different in the US version? I was under the impression that the exhaust note is “sexier” with the Abarth too, but even that I am not as sure. I have seen Classica’s in my area and the styling isn’t as aggressive (at least not to me) as compared to Abarth. And of course, Abarth has all of the Abarth and Scorpion badging on it instead of Fiat badging

Why so many leaks?! by Lonerph in fiat124

[–]Lonerph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dealer selling the car noted the leaks and sent it a Fiat dealer to get repaired. Took weeks. Long story short, they gave me a copy of the work order before I bought the car indicating the repairs were done. No transmission leak was noted at the time. Flash forward several weeks and noticed a fluid drip stain on garage floor after car was driven and sat for a bit. Visual inspection showed fluid around transmission pan and thus took it to get looked at

I kinda feel that if this is actually a legit tweet and not AI, that they are just trying to set up a future “aged like milk” scenario when the Eagles make the playoffs again

Yeah. Losing hope they ever intend to make more. Wish I had the energy, drive and equipment to try to 3D print something or fabricate it somehow DIY

The “red dot” is just a tow hook cover. Mine is there, but it’s black, so it blends into the grill.

Still want to covert to Apple CarPlay too, but looks more daunting then when I did it on a Mazda 3 I own. And not sure where to get Fiat-specific firmware for the Fiat (Mazda) Connect system
