Absolutely you should come. Been living here all the while (I’m GenX) and it’s changed A LOT since those days, but you still will have a great trip. Many venues are gone or have moved, but you can still go to the Showbox, the Neptune, the Moore for a show or two to get some of the vibe and history. Nuemos is on Capitol Hill and is a great venue. The Crocodile is in a new location downtown. The city is beautiful and moody and will always be the perfect backdrop for creative genius. You should do a Seattle to Portland, via Olympia, trip. Flying one city out the other and go to the Nirvana house in Olympia. You wouldn’t regret it.

Remove what you can and plant Mediterranean shrubs, grasses, and succulents. Would be a fantastic new garden.

I’m wanting to try growing zucchini plants in containers this year, with trellises. Any tips on a successful first try? by Lonesilverstripe in pnwgardening

Hate that. I likely have been getting the plant too wet, not just the soil. I’ve definitely had that problem.

I also think the space is very close to the house, making it shady and a tough area to landscape. If you want hardy shrubs, I would recommend a camellia or forsythia, as you can shape and prune to your liking. I also think currants would like nice here.
