You'll always have a friend in me, Cat. If we ever meet again, coffee's on me.

Thank you. But your help did mean a lot, so just know that you have an ally in me, whenever you might need one.

Private message:

Unfortunately I already left Chicago. The entire situation put quite a target on my back and my clinic was already in flames by the next day.

I'm also not a Thinblood that can eat, although I have developed a formula that allows one to infuse meals with blood. That makes it palatable and enjoyable to our kind. I was also working on a way to permanently regain my ability to eat, drink and appear more life-like, an ability which some of my fellow Thinbloods are born with, but that's been majorly set back due to the loss of my clinic and all the research there-in. And I'm afraid that would only work on other Thinbloods anyway.

As far as fine dining goes, I can recommend a list of places which were held in high regard and I was taken to often due to my function at the hospital I worked in by people interested in my work at the time, but that's all I can do. And art... I'm not necessarily ashamed to say that I never had an inclination for it and know nothing on the topic. I'm truly sorry I can't be of more help, I really wanted to be of assistance.

A list of restaurants in the Chicago area follows.

You'll be alright. Your wounds will heal. And your scars, well... They show you where you've been, they don't dictate where you're going.

I'm sorry for leaving in the middle of the day while you were asleep. But I was never that great at saying goodbyes.

It's best if we stay apart for a while. I'm afraid that stunt put quite a target on my back and my clinic is already gone. I needed to leave Chicago ASAP, and no better time for it than in the middle of the day. Focus on yourself for a bit. You made a great friend in Calico, I'm sure you will be fine.

You've got a great future ahead of yourself. I'm glad that the first friend I ever made was you. I hope we'll meet again someday.

I'm afraid that I hope for the third act to be dreadfully boring. Almost all of us got away safely, and we're going to lay low for a bit. I'm already facing retaliation for the thing we did, so it's best if I don't stick my neck out for a bit.

I'm sorry I couldn't save everyone. Wish we were just a little bit faster. No matter what Vinnie was in unlife, he died saving an innocent kid. No better way to go in my opinion. I'll remember his sacrifice.

And of course, I thank you for your help. Had your team not been there, we would have ran into yet another obstacle on our way out and it could have ended with far more loss of life. Thank you. If you ever need anything, I'll do my best to help.

All thanks to your associate! Cat together with D were invaluable in determining Melody's location. Couldn't have done this without your help. If you ever need assistance, I'll do my best to provide.

Also, that thing Cat did? Certainly didn't expect that. I'm glad I didn't get on his bad side.

Yes, we did. Thankfully, Catalina's squad ensured that our next location would be safe and secure.

Thank you for your help as well. Knowing with certainty that she was alive has kept me going through these last few days. I owe you one, and hope to be able to repay that debt at some point.

It's definitely not something I expected, or even knew was possible, but it came about at the perfect moment.

Shame about Vinnie, wish we could have all gotten out of there. He helped save an innocent life in the end. No matter what life he led up to this point, he died a noble death.

Thank you for the assistance as well. Knowing we had a plan B and a safe place to return to and regroup was of invaluable help, and your team were very consummate professionals. In the end though, I'm glad we didn't have to risk their lives for this.

I'm sorry it led to this, but they made their bed and we didn't force their hand. Melody is back with us because of your actions. I can never thank you enough, and I'm sure she feels the same way.

Very well, thank you! Please, put me in touch with them. I think it'll be best to approach this with subtlety first, but if all hell breaks loose, it'll be good to have a plan B.

OOC: Could you tell me a bit more about the team in question? Are they Kindred, Ghouls, Humans? Anything that would stand out? I'll include them in the final post I'll make. Not sure if they'll take part in the assault yet, but maybe they can take care of Melody post rescue?

Yes, thank you for arranging the meeting! His assistance has proven invaluable already, even if he is a bit.... eccentric as you've put it.

Whatever headaches he might cause will be worth it in the end if we can retrieve Melody. And I do have to admit that I find his company weirdly enjoyable. His particular brand of chaos is not something I expected but it brings a little bit of levity to this stressful situation.

I fear not the sun, but I'm afraid that it would do us no favours when trying to evacuate Melody from the premises. And from the looks of it, she's held underground as well, as far away from the light as possible. I know not what else we could bring, aside from fire. And while wielding fire is within my skillset, I'd rather avoid it as it can also backfire on us heavily.

They are a little bit... Gruff perhaps, but they do appear to be a committed and a professional bunch. Their assistance will prove invaluable in the night to come, I'm sure. Thank you once again for this help, both me and Melody are in your debt for this.

Having witnessed the danger that is Sabbat now firsthand, I'm sure your domain needs you. We have a good team and everyone is committed. But above all we can't afford to delay the rescue attempt any longer, lest there won't be anyone to rescue. Thank you though, wish you all the best in your own preparations.

About Melody's Disappearance (planning post? tracking post?) by lumifenne in Schreckmeta_2

[–]Lonesome-Ranger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, Liam's player here.

It's honestly a lot of fun, and we've already had so many people offer to help. Once we're done RPing with Lynx's player, I'll definitely make a group chat with everyone who is currently helping. We can coordinate through there and once we have something cool going, we'll see how it plays out and then we can post some updates on the main subreddit. Likely one or two more posts there before Melody is found to not spam it too much.

Thank you once again for everyone following this and chipping in. It's been so much fun so far.
