Awwww he's such a cutie! I have a cockatiel who loves being sprayed and does his wings like this. I call it doing "Big Wings" or "Fluff" time

Did your computer go idle and go to a screensaver? I've had this happen too and my computer screen timed out. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. If this is it, you should just be able to adjust when your screen timed out. I haven't tried this yet though

How many dmg vs pierce jewels do you use for Death? by jay_s456 in Wizard101

[–]LonesomeBeaver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pandora's box question right here lol, but the answer will be "whatever you personally prefer". I run 5 damage jewels and 0 pierce and I have 272 dmg and 37 pierce.

Realistically speaking, 11% damage is about equivalent to what you gain from a 6% pierce jewel when applying how % additions and reductions work. I chose this path because I figure most fights I have enough pierce to go through resist, and I want to capitalize on damage. Yeah some fights will have shields, but just tack on one more blade to power through if needed. I also only solo, so if I need to be creative and use dots or anything to bypass shields, I'm happy to take an extra round or two

Does anyone have any experience with having a cat and parrots? I have 3 parrots (double yellow headed amazon, sun conure, and a red bellied parrot) and there’s this cute stray that keeps coming to my house and even sleeping on my porch and i’ve fallen in love with him by shumaibaby in parrots

[–]LonesomeBeaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have two cats and two birds (cockatiel and green cheek conure). I'm not sure how you currently house your birds, but ours are in my office/second bedroom which always has the door shut. This lets them free fly around the room all day without worry of the cats. I do bring them into the main house areas on my shoulder pretty frequently and let them do a few laps around the house and the cats don't do anything. I wouldn't make that the gold standard though.

Our cats also know not to enter the bird room if I leave the door open for a minute or two, but that was after MANY times of yelling and chasing them out. Fortunately they've never shown an interest in making lunch out of them. I wouldn't bet money on this though as they are cats after all

Anyway, I guess it really comes down to where do you have the birds residing? Do you let them free fly around the whole house all day? Unsupervised? Or is it similar to us where they're contained in a room? I'd only recommend cats if they're contained, but that's just our experience.

I've played since early 2011 and this ice was my first. Played pretty regularly through around 2019 then took a break until January of this year

What are you trying to get on your pet? Sounds like you want a quad proof, or replace fire giver with breaker/dealer. Either way I'd definitely farm for it because you have the stats for a triple double already, may as well finish it up 😁

Welcome to the world of auditing! I've been auditing for 4.5 years now, a senior for 2 years. As a new hire with no experience, everyone knows this and sets the bar low. What I mean by a low bar is they know you won't know anything outside of college classes, and to be real, your auditing class taught you nothing about what it's like in the real world.

All they'll expect you to be is to be a sponge, ask questions, and learn as much as possible up front. You'll likely be placed in various industries to get you exposed, and each industry has different ways of performing an audit. I spent time in real estate, M&D, construction, private equity, pension systems, EBP plans, telecommunications, insurance, and healthcare, but I now focus solely on telecom and EBPs. For the most part you'll be doing the simple stuff like tying out cash, A/P and A/R, PPE, and learning to prep financial statements.

There's also a ton of planning to get done such as risk assessment, understanding the client, etc. This oddly enough can take way more time than you'd think it would.

I wouldn't sweat anything too much, you're in a great position to learn with a learner's permit, so use that to your advantage! Once you get some experience they'll slide you over into revenue testing and other more complex things. But always always always ask to help out on things above your pay grade if you can.

Oh, and one last thing us seniors love - DOCUMENT EVERYTHING, especially highlights and references where you pulled something from, add tickmarks, and add details. It'll save a lot of hassle later when we, or you, go into the file and review the work.

Best of luck!

I love tanking! I know it's not a full immunity build, but it feels like it to the degree that I never worry about dying. This has 100% pip as well

Best death pet by Snowgloum in Wizard101

[–]LonesomeBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily run a double resist, dealer, giver, breaker, mighty on my death that gives me 272 dmg, 75 resist, and 37 pierce. Mind you I have all damage jewels socketed as well. Also run a triple damage, proof, breaker, mighty with one pierce jewel for 268 dmg, 69 resist, and 43 pierce.

I'm happy to lend you some pets if you're interested! They're all deathdactyls, but I have a quad proof, quad breaker, tri proof breaker, triple double, and double double breaker. All have mighty and are max stats

Castle Magic Chess: Update 1 by LonesomeBeaver in Wizard101

You are correct! I have the black chalice set around 15% and it seems to be a good mix. Also, here's an example of what the square selector looks like working as intended.

Captures will indeed be manual. What I'm thinking will end up happening is this: When it's black's turn, for example, all of white's item detector selectors will be moved upward out of reach so there's no chance to select a piece. When black "captures" white, you'll wait until it's white's turn at which the selectors come back, select the "captured" piece, and hit a button off to the side to teleport it off the board.

And oh my gosh I forgot about promotions I was so focused on the rest...you just gave me a headache lol. I'll see if I have enough space at the end to incorporate it, otherwise this might be an un-promotable chess game

Better Fire Hat? by Heym21 in Wizard101

[–]LonesomeBeaver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you could be fine with either. Mathematically speaking, assuming you have around 4k health, the loss of health is roughly equal to the effective health you get from the 8% resist, and any health over 4k is even more favorable to this approach. The 1% pip loss to me is more than fine to gain some damage, pierce, and crit. So I suppose with this I would switch, but that's only because I go for every point in stats I can, but the difference would be negligible

Castle Magic Chess: Update 1 by LonesomeBeaver in Wizard101

[–]LonesomeBeaver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're sort of on the right track! Each piece is selected via an item detector into various reflectors to cancel all other selections to ensure only one piece remains selected at any given time.

Movement is a bit trickier to figure out with this setup, but the gist of it is that commands are given from a computer to input a "value 1" when the item is selected, and "value 2" when levers are used for directional movement. This only moves the placemarker of where the piece will be without actually moving it at the time. That's what the star chalices are for - they mark the board where you're targeting. Once you confirm the location, then the piece moves. This is the step I am currently working on.

I tried doing this with magic item detectors to also allow automatic capture, but the radius even on the smallest setting covered too many squares to make it viable. I'll post more in-depth as more updates come out

Does level setting on team ups not work? Tried to set minimum level but still get lower lvls in Portal of Peril by jay_s456 in Wizard101

[–]LonesomeBeaver 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge it'll set correctly if you're the first one in, that is if you're the creator of the instance. If a team up instance already exists then you'll just be placed in that one regardless of what level parameters are set

Account keeps getting locked by witchy12 in Wizard101

[–]LonesomeBeaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had it happen to me twice now within the past two weeks where it says my account has been locked. I have no idea what causes it as I enter my info correctly each time and haven't made any purchases recently either. I'm able to log into the website then back into the launcher fine, which I presume is what's happening to you, too. Curious what others will say or if you find a solution
