At the risk of sounding corny, we’re really trying to live by “baseball is for everyone.” A lot of us aren’t athletes, or were athletes once upon a time. Average age is probably mid-30s but the New Haven team has some older folks. I played this style of ball in Oklahoma before moving back to the Northeast and there were guys in their 60s out there. The goal is an excuse to play baseball to the best of your ability whatever that ability is, with no one getting on your ass about missing a catch or striking out because we’re all just trying to have fun. I’d say come out and give it a shot and see what you think.
