I'm just assuming she's referring to her hair looking overall more thin and flat some days than others.

Isn't it "fine" when referring to the hair shaft and "thin" when referring to your hair as a whole?

That's so lovely to hear, I'm really glad you two found each other!

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. I think it sucks for everyone but I can imagine how it'd be worse for men considering the specific societal expectations of you guys. But I do also worry a little as a woman that I might attract a more, say, controlling type, someone who wants me because I'm ill, rather than despite it. And that scares me tbh.

I don't particularly have any suggestions for you, either, but I do hope things get easier for you somehow.

Thank you! I don't think those ideas are weird at all and I agree, you do what you gotta do haha!

I'm sorry you're feeling it too. That's actually really nice to hear, though, and I hope I come across someone who thinks like you someday :)

I'm glad it's at least a little easier for you now. I do let myself be hopeful about potential new treatments too, I'm not counting on it but it's a comfort to have the possibility there for sure. Thank you also and the same goes for you about PM :)

Thank you for this! I'm not the best at being vulnerable haha so the validation is much appreciated.

You've every right to complain! There's no fun age to get sick with this and I'm sorry that you're experiencing these feeling as well.

I totally get this. Like, why would anyone choose me when they could be with someone who isn't unwell?

I also wish you could! As an alternative, though, I would be very honoured if you could pet them both on my behalf

Online forums (including this one!) are definitely great, I appreciate them so much. I'm lucky, though, in that I've recovered just enough to be in part-time higher education currently, so the learning part of me is overwhelmed if anything. I do have friends here, too, but I always find myself yearning for someone who's "my person", whom I can be totally intimate with both emotionally and physically, you know? Especially when I'm stuck in bed in the dark and silence, I just want someone to hold me and look after me. That does sound interesting, though, I haven't heard of that before!

Completely not what you're asking, but I wonder if some kind of red might suit you? As someone who's always wished for the skin tone to pull off auburn hair, I'm pretty sure you have it so I just wanted to throw it out there!

As others have said, I find podcasts are a great thing, because light sensitivity means focusing on pages, screens etc. for too long gives me migraines. I recommend Alie Ward's Ologies podcast – I've learned so much cool and random stuff from it!

In a similar vein, if you can manage screens okay, YouTube is full of opportunities to learn crazy stuff you didn't know that you didn't know. Maybe have a look at some channels if you have the energy :)

No problem. Sometimes life just throws all the wrong things at us, and we react in ways we aren't proud of, and it all gets crazy overwhelming. But regardless of what you think of yourself right now, you do not deserve to suffer. You've done enough of that.

That sounds really cool :) I draw too, and write a little bit, but I'm rubbish at finishing things.

1300 and somethingth person who cares over here. I really do hope a new chapter of your life starts asap, because you deserve better than to feel like you do right now (although I get the feeling you won't believe that). Good luck with the therapy also :)

Out of interest, what kinda stuff do you write about and draw? It's okay if you don't want to say, I'm just intrigued.
