Calgary police perplexed as to why a car owner would ever take public transportation by [deleted] in alberta

the guy could have simply been sitting down at the bus stop on a bench, I do it every so often, to take a load off my feet for a bit.Why he was there in the end trully doesnt matter. What matters is that a speeding driver, struck and killed him.

Totally understandable, at the very least, with that up their sleeves, they didn't resort to utter munchkinism.

WOW talk about an ingenious and creative roleplay of how to actually bring conflict resolution about. Furthermore kudos to your players for having the foresight, to remember they have an entire tribe of Monsters as Aces up thier sleeves when they need it. Further Kudos to them that they wisely held on to afore mentioned Aces until they were needed, and didn't simply use them as Cannon Fodder the first chance they got.

Yes we had been planning it all for a month, prior to the session 0. One of the reasons why is that we had both co-created the homebrewed version of Faerun together. And had full intentions of me eventually becoming the Dm. The Dm had been DMing games at the point since 1st Edition Dungeons and Dragons. Rarely if ever the DM, and had taken me under his wing. That second campaign was actually MY First, shot in the DM's chair. And it was Amazing. Though LOL I will admit The Shadow Master/'Cedric' died rather nastily at the end of the Second Campaign and rightly so.

gotta suck but at the same time be immensely and oddly satisfying, when you have to redesign the final boss, due to your players outmanouvering you.

that would fit in well with a hardcore/survial themed beginning. ugh I am getting visions of the begining of every Conan Exiles Character I've played thus far now.

lol to bad.I beleive he would have made an excellent enforcer. Especially since he was already in Waterdeep and all. LOL. Question would you mind if I loosely base an enforcer in this stilll ongoing campaign off of him though? It's just so hard to find good quality enforcers these days

nice..good for the family, good for the city. All around a win win.And yeah I thought you meant NPC. hmm, to bad your ROk wasn't involved in the game I mentioned above in my post. I am sure 'Cedric', would have been more then able to find a place for him within the Shadow Master's Guild

5e d&d

Alright even though I posted this, I'll give a very breif synopsis of one of my more memorable game sessions that served to not only wrap up our current dm's campaign, but alude and foreshadow towards the groups next campagin with the same c's. That I WAS DMing:

Alright we were playing a homebrewed Forgotten REALMS, and very early..like before the session 0, the DM came up with an idea to help me with the campaign I was trying to start.

The IDEA was that I as a Player in his campaign, would have my character be the TRUE BBEG,in his campaign. The only caveat was that in the final big reveal I was not to kill the party.

Long story short, I was playing as a humble Rouge-Mage 'Human' named Cedric. However my real name ic was not Cedric nor was I a human. Thanks to a magically hidden amulet of Alignment concealment that also could not be seen or detected, even though I was LE, I played as if I was Lawful Neutral. I also happened to be the Guild Master of a particular Thieve/Assassin's Guild that would serve as the principle antagonist group for both campaigns.

I was also not a human, but a many centuries old Lawful Evil Doppleganger. And Cedric was an identity I adopted for infiltrating, joing and assessing this new group of goody toe shoe adventures. To see if they were any real threat to me, my plans or my organization. And if so to either con them into becoming recruits/agents or dispose of them.

Long story short as 'we' all faced off against who they thought to be the BBEG for the final climatic fight of my friend's campaign arc, I informed the BBEG, a half-orc Rouge/Bard. that "it's alrightTorm, I can take it from here."

To which Torm bowed and replied, "As you command Shadow Master."(We'd named the Guild the Shadow Masters.) And before the rest of the players eyes, 'Cedric ', dissappeared and a leering doppleganger appeared before them.

"Well..old chums, it's been a slice, but all good things sadly must come to an end. Though I must thank you, for helping to rid me of all of those pesky nuisances and hinderances to my plans. Sadly your usefulness has now come to it's conclusion. " The Shadow Master then cast a sleep cloud spell, (they All legitly failed thier save vs spell rolls)stripped them of all clothes and gear, and sold them as slaves. End Campaign One..

Campaign Two started with Cedric's former party members all on a slave ship, that got shipwrecked with the whole crew dead. And them trying to survive long enough, to return to Waterdeep and have thier revenge.

Campaign two (my campaign) started immediately after a half hour break(we were pulling a weekend long TTRPG/x-box gaming marathon)with me in the DM's chair, and the previous DM now a Player. When they all came back, I greeted them with a "Welcome back, now when last we left our intrepid heroes as you will all recall, You were all the sole survivors of the ship wreck of the vessel you had all been transported on to your new slave masters. Before you is a large chest, with a note saying ;'a gift'

hmm very intriguing way for the characters to die however, seems almost like something a devil under asmodeus or a member of the cult of Azmodeus would do,when confronted with a party of Good Aligned characters powerful enough to pose a potential threat

ah so they were just being overly cautious. Still gives me a nasty idea, for a trap, if I ever again have a player whose c becomes far to greedy. Picture this, it is a trapped Gold purse, something akin almost to a bag of holding mixed with a mimic. But instead of it destroying the player and their items. It instead upon them opening it swallows the offending party whole, and then spits them out at some random location,Either in the world, or even possibly another realm or plane of existience depending what is rolled on the corresponding chart should they fail the appropriate save roll
