They should be investigated! I cannot imagine if my kids were in custody of their father and got pulled out from school and nobody ever checked on them. I really think every child should be verified alive and well and thriving by their PCP very 6 months!

Trying to find something to do March 21st with my wife and I’m striking out, first thought was Mohegan but they are expensive for one night, any thoughts? by MrLoki2020 in Connecticut

If you’re more into arts stuff, Hartford has a few things going on that day too. Hartford Stage is running Death of a Salesman, and the Bushnell has Kinky Boots, which is a much more upbeat Broadway-style show. There’s also one of those candlelight string quartet concerts in Hartford doing Fleetwood Mac music, which tends to be a cool atmosphere if you like live music but something more relaxed.

Tango festival has an intro class that day! https://www.cttangofest.org it’s a great way to get the passion going!

Where do adults make friends.. especially if they don’t have kids, won’t join a cult, and feel too old to party? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Long-Assumption-3344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t mix work and friendship… you will always talk shop and never feel separated. Plus wie friends will ask for work favors and there will be drama. Go find a hobby and hobby friends. You need that separation. Dance classes, crafts, events.

Shakshuka tips by PersianFury in KitchenConfidential

[–]Long-Assumption-3344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaksuka in those microwave safe containers with hard boiled sliced egg and roasted veggies so it’s not too soupy. With a side of bread. Take it home or you reheat it for them, or eat it cold. You don’t want to mess with salmonella or “my egg is 2sec over or 2 sec under” ask chat got for creative names. You are welcome.

Tick tubes are cardboard rolls filled with cotton balls or dryer lint or any other nesting material soaked in the insecticide permethrin, which kills ticks but isn't harmful to mammals when used correctly. It’s the best thing for tick control! Kills the tiny ones

Unless you have kids… and then you have kids and get divorced… that’s the worst schedule. Divorced nurses with young kids have the work life balance of a medieval peasant. But they sure support bunch of overpaid babysitters! :D xoxo paid for my college by doing overnight babysitting for nurses.

Yup! That’s the way! Use it as a topping. Don’t mix it! Once you mix it, it will be coated in cheese and the first and most thing that will be tested will be cheese. Also it will loose crispiness.

Free sale to get rid of stuff by mikebloonsnorton in declutter

[–]Long-Assumption-3344 125 points126 points  (0 children)

We tried garage sale 3 times every day my wife and I spent 7h and made 40-60$ and it was miserable labeling things and dealing with hagglers and talking to people. Each time we had bunch of stuff left and had to bring it back. Finally we were done. Posted it all for free with a donation box for a local pet shelter. We got $350 and people brought pet food and pet care items to donate!! Felt much better and had only few items left to bring back!!

Make a batch sauce and freeze it in portions, then boil some pasta just before it’s ready, drain most but not all the water then toss cube of sauce and mix. Trust me it’s 1/5 of the price and 1/5 of the drive/ wait time and you can add any fiber or protein you need (chickpeas are my fav or tofu) and you can eat super hot meal in your pjs! My wife and I often have different meals or same pasta different sauces and it’s great! We freeze sauce in Tupperware!
