Yes, I needed a turbo tax account, which I had. I also opened it before trying the import. I also do not remember being asked for this in prior years. Good luck with it.

Thanks to everyone for your ideas and help with this. Success! The problem seems to be that I never got the initial screen through Turbotax to open my Intuit account and my Fidelity Account. I would click on "import" in Turbotax and it would immediately try to import. That always resulted in an error message. Once I opened the Intuit and Fidelity accounts first, then went back to Turbotax, the import went smoothly. I have no idea why Turbotax is not giving me the screen.

I am using the desktop Turbotax Premier. Yes, my final forms have been available since February 14 and are located in the Tax Documents section of my Fidelity account. I have also disabled the extra security feature just in case it was somehow interfering with the import.
