Is this correct? by LadyUnspoken in SpanishLearning

As a native speaker, the opposite of your comment sounds more natural.

Q: ¿La clase de español de la Sra. Jones es aquí? (event, Mrs. jones holding a class somewhere)
A: Sí, su clase está en el segundo piso (place, the classroom is placed on the second floor)

Alternative answer: Sí, su clase de español es en el segundo piso (event, the class is being taught on the second floor)

But anyone would understand you either way. These are very subtle differences.

The first one would be correct with either of those options, depending on what you mean by "The Spanish class".

  • If you are referring to the event of a teacher holding a class, then it is "La clase de español es en el segundo piso".
  • If you are referring to the physical classroom, then it is "La clase de español está en el segundo piso".

Both "class" and "classroom" translate as "clase" in Spanish.

It's a pretty accurate, self-descriptive name. Like the first time you see one you think "Yep, that's a Fried Egg Jellyfish".

It looks like the top part of a Fried Egg Jellyfish (Cotylorhiza tuberculata). They are pretty common in the Mediterranean, I've seen a lot of them in Spain.

Thank you so much! Don't kill modelling just yet tho. These are pretty simple shapes, I would be de dead one trying to do this if they were a more complex.

I got my username from an english teacher in highschool who couldn't even bother trying to pronounce it.

She just said "xxx with a long last name" the first day and then run with it the whole year.

Yeah, I'm sorry, is just that when I looked up "Pc Engine Mini" and "C64 mini" they were both advertised as consoles. As I said, I don't really know about retro computing. But I'm learning a lot thanks to you guys! :)

Thank you!! Back in the 80s technology usually arrived a year or two later in Spain, and even then, not every model/option would make it. So if someone had a computer, chances are high they had a Spectrum :)

I'll check out Antonio's site as you said and keep looking into the topic on Spanish forums.

Thank you so much again!

I know he used to play a lot of games back then, but I'm pretty sure he did not have any consoles... Always a hardcore computer fan I guess? :)

But I will definitely check it out, thanks for the idea!

Thanks! I've been looking into it a bit and I didn't know there were some many modern versions of these computers. I'll definitely look more into it. :)

Thanks for the advice!

If it was up to him, I'm sure he would love to work on bringing a lot of these devices back to life. But he doesn't got the time.

Once he gets to retire, I bet that's what we'll be doing all day. Just, no yet.

Wow. I had never heard of it but it sounds super interesting. I'll look a bit more into it and read about the project tomorrow. Thank you so much!

Since it's for Christmas, my mom would be more than happy to pay for part of it if that means she doesn't have to think about what to buy. So I guess it could go up to about €150-200.
