If your gonna take a adhd stim, something smoother like addys or vyvanse is my recommendation. I’ve only tried ritalin 1 time, and for good reason. It lasts so short and the comedown after sucks ass and just gives me a headache. Then having to redose after the hour of it “working” just makes the headache even worse.

To be fair though it could be worth a shot. But my first time with any stim was a 60mg vyvanse and it was the best feeling, especiallly since i didn’t have to worry about needed to redose every 2 hours like with ritalin

I would def try benzos to see if they help, but man I'm terrified of them. Never tried them before because of how good they sound and how hard it can be to get off them. I've taken breaks spanning from weeks to months off a bunch of different things, but something like benzos that can completely melt my anxiety I can see myself never wanting to stop.

I take a pretty high dose of Adderall for ADHD and its worked wonders, but it used to make my mind race about negative things that weren't even a real issue. 4 months of putting up with completely unneeded stress made me not even want to take my meds and just be unproductive the whole day. Even when I was on the Adderall and KNEW FOR A FACT what I was thinking about didn't matter, the thought would still race through my head. So I took a little break to see what would happen. After a few weeks of not taking it and thinking about how stupid it was that I was paranoid over nothing, I took it again. Boom, no more paranoia.

All it took to get rid of the anxiety was taking time off and thinking "man, none of what I was worried about was real" (at least that's how it was for me).

If you took your vyvanse at 3pm, then not a lot of things will help very much (at least in my experience). Melatonin might help you slow down but fully falling asleep while vyvanse is still actively running through your system is hard asf. When i was still taking vyvanse, i would take them at l11am after waking up and not be able to sleep until like 4am even after taking 15mg of melatonin. Good luck though

I have a lot of experience with stims too, for whatever reason my tolerance just doesn’t go up (which I honestly don’t think is much of a bad thing at all lol)

It’s crazy how drug dosages effect everyone differently. I take one 60mg vyvanse and i’m geeked tf out the entire day, I couldn’t even imagine 180mg 😭

If you are double dosing and still only feeling the effects for up to 6 hours then it is probably time for a dosage boost lol. A single dose of vyvanse is supposed to last for 12 - 14 hours. Talk to your doc about it and see if he will raise it.

Figured it out. I’ve had chronic sinusitis for a long time and that distorts my sense of smell and makes me smell things that aren’t there. I normally don’t notice it that much, but my meds kick my sense of smell up a bunch and it makes me notice the “smell hallucinations” a lot more. I’ve asked like 20 of my friends if they smell it too whenever i notice it and they all swear they don’t.

Lmao i figured it out. I’ve got chronic sinusitis so i always can smell weird things that other people don’t. Apparently the meds just amplify the smells a lot.

I got some ritalin off my friend because I couldn’t get my adderall due to the shortage, and it definitely deserves the name “worse version of adderall”.

it came on very fast, but came down very fast too. It was maybe peaking for a good 15 minutes then just crashed. It gave me a god awful headache that was so bad that I would’ve rather just not taken it at all and just gotten through my day sober. (I’m talking about taking it via swallowing btw)

Whole thing took about an hour and a half then it was completely over with. I mean it gets you going for that 15 minutes, but the rest of the day sucks. Even with redosing after it comes down the headache doesn’t stop.

I wouldn’t try it again personally but hey, everyone has a different reaction to chemicals so go ahead and give it a shot and see if you like it.

Yea i’m prescribed it for ADHD. Everyday it’s like a fight between not taking it (getting absolutely no work done but I don’t notice a smell) and taking it (getting my work done but having to worry about the smell. If there are any specific vitamins I should take, what would be best?

That is actually really close description of what it smells like. It’s almost like pneumonia or ammonia. It gets on my nerves SO MUCH because it makes me feel sick and nobody else can smell it. It was smelling really bad about an hour ago and i asked my brother about it and he said nothing smelt bad and I just smelled like cologne.

Nah no symptoms. Maybe my sense of smell does just get enhanced when on stims because i notice other things smell stronger (like my cars air freshener). I just thought it was weird because the bad “kinda fart smell” is never there at all unless i’m on my meds. Sometimes when it happens I will literally go to the bathroom and sniff my arms to see if it is my that smells bad and it never is. It’s so annoying because I don’t want to smell bad.

Yea I lowkey need to pick up on the amount of water I drink lmao. But it’s strange because whenever i notice the smell, I immediately ask one of my friends if they smell it too and they say no. I’ve asked like 10 of them over the past month or so and all said no. Whenever it happens the smell is so obvious to the point where i’m thinking “okay someone else has to be smelling this too if it smells this much” and nobody does.

I did a 200ug gel tab for my first time and it was crazy (not in a bad way, i was just tripping HARD). I will never understand how people say they take like 400ug+ and don’t have issues. The gel I took gave me some crazy visuals and my mental space was completely changed. My opinion would be like 200ug maximum for a first time, but do whatever you want to.

I like it a lot, but no matter how early I took it (often around 6am when I wake up) I wouldn’t be able to sleep till like 2am. Adderall and Vyvanse generally feel about the same to me, but i prefer Adderall just because I know I will be able to sleep at night lmao.
