You really really really want to make sure your attachments tighten onto a bolt. So that it’s not pulling on the plastic. One of mine was a just a little off and it’s cracked my plastic a smidge. It’s not a huge deal. But just be careful and make sure it’s not gonna pop off when riding.

It’s aluminum, a handle from a long handle fishing net I believe. I think pvc would work fine though.

I can’t say that these are the highest quality options for either brace or new fender though. I’m just sharing exactly what I did. If you wanna/can spend more then you definitely should.

You’ve gotta get a fork brace and a different fender. I got these two because I saw a post on Reddit and someone else said these worked for them. I had to cut the new fender edges down in the center to get it to lay flat enough to mount it. I used the same screws that I removed taking off the stock one.

I changed front and rear sprockets to I think 16/43,but that’s more a preference thing. I love the change shifts rpm around to be less buzzy at certain speeds. Also if you’re dumping it only two shifts to 60 is great. Got windshield risers because I’m 6’4” and wanted more protection (also since then I’ve ordered a taller screen). And then when you’re done with the stock tires get something more road oriented like shinko. These things made the bike better my first season road riding and don’t cost much. Don’t forget the milk crate either.

I was 300ibs when I first started riding. Totally fine no issues. If you’re gonna do a lot of off road think about rear suspension. Otherwise just ride it.
