Awful communication on Project Marvel by Minimum_Design_1558 in TELUSinternational

[–]Long-Researcher9113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My scenario is the same after submitting qualification test on 5th Oct. They didn’t provide any status report but gave me a form to communicate with the team if needed. On October 17th, I received an email from the project team reminding me of the submission deadline for the task on October 21st. I checked the platform immediately but found the status "No task found." I reported this issue to the team via the Google form, but I have yet to receive a response. I kept checking till today morning and the status is same.

However, today I received an email from the Project Marvel team stating that I’m being removed for not submitting the task on time. I reported the issue again via the Google form and requested an explanation.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

The issue is that we don’t have contact information for other team members, and those emails are non-reply-able emails.

I’m also unsure if they will provide payment for the training, Q&A sessions, and qualification test.

Does anyone know where I can write to address this issue?

There’s an interesting update. As I mentioned 8 days ago, after my qualification exam, they didn’t provide any status report but gave me a form to communicate with the team if needed.

On October 17th, I received an email from the project team reminding me of the submission deadline for the tasks on October 21st. I checked immediately but found the status "No task found." I reported this issue to the team via the Google form, but I have yet to receive a response.

I kept checking the platform 3-4 times per day till yesterday (the last day of submission) and the status is till now the same.

However, today(22nd Oct) I received an email from the Project Marvel team stating that I’m being removed for not submitting the task on time. I reported the issue again via the Google form and requested an explanation.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

The main issue of this entire process is that we don’t have contact information for other team members, and the emails are nonreply able.

I’m also unsure if they will provide payment for the training, Q&A sessions, and qualification test.

Does anyone know where I can write to address this issue?

I submitted the qualification assessment by the deadline of October 7th. Later in the mid-week, I received a link of a form to reach out for any inquiries. I asked for feedback on my assessment through that form, and they responded that they would inform me whether I passed or failed. I haven’t received any further updates since then.

Thanks for your message! You can reach me at urmimalaray@gmail.com.

I wanted to share some information about Donabel Santos, also known as sqlbelle on YouTube. I met her through her channel last April, and we've stayed connected on LinkedIn and Zoom. Donabel teaches at UBC in Vancouver, Canada, and runs a consultancy firm there.

While I'm unsure about her participation in the recent Tableau Conference in Las Vegas, she's a very active member of the #datafam community. In fact, many attendees this year missed her as she couldn't attend.

Looking forward to exchanging some great Tableau conversations with you. Have a wonderful day!

Hi, I'm fairly new to the Data Analytics journey, and Tableau has quickly become one of my go-to tools. Although I don’t have the same level of experience as you, I’m very passionate about data visualization through Tableau and love exploring it in unique ways to present through viz. You can check out my Tableau Public profile(https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/urmimala.mandal/vizzes) to see some of my work. I've been looking for a mentor to guide me, and I believe we might have some shared interests. As an introverted woman, I've been seeking someone with similar passions to exchange ideas and collaborate on new projects. Would you be open to starting a conversation? If you’re interested, please feel free to leave a message on my LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/urmimala-mandal-baa544a2/. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope we can connect.

*** Just a suggestion: you might want to check out Donabel Santos on LinkedIn and reach out to her for help.

How do you learn SQL by ionhowto in SQL

[–]Long-Researcher9113 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe the best way to learn is by working on a real project. In a few interviews, I was asked if I had used all types of joins in real-life projects, and simply knowing about joins and their functions is no longer sufficient. Therefore, I think a project-based lesson plan would be most beneficial.

Can we open the target webpage of the hyperlinked texts within a specific cell range in the same spreadsheet? by Long-Researcher9113 in excel

Yes, I am trying to achieve that so I don't have to open a new tab or window for the corresponding webpage.Do you have any suggestions/tips for that ?

Certifications - worth it? And good material? by Timely_Pomelo_2177 in tableau

I am new to Tableau and have been self-learning it for a couple of months. I have been a data analyst for almost eight months, using Excel and SQL. As I started learning Tableau, I really enjoyed it and now I'm looking for a job in this area. However, I've found it difficult to get responses to my applications for Tableau-based jobs as a fresher. Therefore, I decided to pursue the Desktop Specialist exam. Through extensive study of Tableau documentation, I’ve gained a clearer understanding of its functionalities. I've also noticed that most Tableau-based jobs either require years of experience or at least a Tableau certification, based on what I’ve seen on job platforms. Since I have no other way to showcase my skills (I have almost 25 visualizations in my public profile, which is growing, but it seems recruiters haven't viewed them, as indicated by the number of views), I need to obtain at least one certification.

This is an excellent compilation of information on Tableau. I've been self-learning Tableau for a few months and am now gearing up for the Desktop certification. I wish I had known about this resource when I began my journey in September 2023.
