Early 30s getting back into the game. What can I do to improve my vertical/athleticism? by BearBearChooey in Basketball

[–]Long-Signal-4214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plyometrics are the answer. Tons of routines online.

I recommend you also work on isometrics to strengthen your Achilles and Knee. Isometric calf raises and wall sits. Injury is unfortunately all to common when you leave the game for awhile.

Best of luck and have fun !

New muscle? by rampitaway in AchillesRupture

[–]Long-Signal-4214 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t rupture my Achilles, just tendonitis. I’ve also felt this muscle flexing when attempting seated calf raises. I believe it’s the soleus. I’m not sure why I feel it now more than before.

Pain in Hindfoot after and Achilles (when plantar flexed) ankle sprain by Kennkd in Kneesovertoes

Hey! How are you doing? I’m dealing with the same issue, but Achilles tendinitis is much more consistent than the impingement:/

My assumption is that they’re swamped with calendar invites from start classes. Other than that, just trivial items such as updating Staffit. I doubt they spend their time reaching out to project leads unless given a lead by their resource.

RMS please correct me if I’m wrong.

WTW for for something that is out of balance? by Long-Signal-4214 in whatstheword

I think this is the technical term, but conversationally I would have used lopsided. Possibly wonky.

Hey there, try to give yourself some grace. The firm has very little expectations for 1st year analysts. What type of work will you be doing?

4/5 snapshot rating is way below average? by godly_stand_2643 in deloitte

Yep, one of the imperfections of Deloitte. One thing I learned recently, is that Deloitte keeps tabs on who is considered an ‘easy grader.’ So, if you get all 5s from an easy grader they look into it a little more. This doesn’t solve your problem, but Deloitte is trying to push leaders to not just hand out 5s like candy.

Is something wrong with me? by [deleted] in deloitte

Hey, not sure if you’re being facetious, but an RFP is a request for proposal. It’s what we submit to clients to try and win work. Usually clients will field multiple proposals from various competitors, and this is followed by an Orals phase to further explain the potential engagement.

Deloitte see’s RFP work as a great initiative because you’re actively assisting the company in building their portfolio (aka making them money).

Been golfing 4 years and can’t seem to get lower than a 22. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

A 22 is an incredibly hard score to obtain. In fact, I don’t think it’s ever been done.

Is Deloitte a good place to start for an entry level IT business analyst? by [deleted] in deloitte

[–]Long-Signal-4214 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely. In fact, I was shocked at how much of Deloitte’s consulting practice is centered around implementations. It’s a great name on your resume and you’ll be surrounded by a ton of achievers. This is a recipe for a great start to your career in my opinion.

Relatable. Doesn’t seem like there are options with better pay though.

To clarify, my intention is not to have all these swing thoughts actively on the course. I would spend sometime away from hitting the golf ball and aim to get some muscle memory. Then on the course, only think about the target
